the funny thing is that the game is region free! I bought a US version and it plays on the PAL hardware without any modification at all and it cost me about £20 Boxed Mint complete :) its an ok game but its def not worth that much money ;)

its one of the few 32x games that doesnt have a region lockout

I got lucky and found a loose copy at the local Play n Trade that had been sitting around long enough to be on discount price, so I got it for $.99. :D (i actually had forgotten that was one of the better selling games) Got VR Delux for .99 too, would have gotten Shadow Squadron, but it wasn;t markred down, and for $7 I didn't feel like it. (I still don't have my 32x yet, but I'm pretty sure my uncle has a loose one he's got packed away with his SMS II he promised I coud have when he finds it)

Shadow Squadron can be had for a lot less than $7 btw...

Yeah, that's why I didn't buy it, though getting it online there's shipping as well, but still probably under $5. (and that game's probably still at P&T given the limited market for 32x, so maybe it'll be discounted by the next time I'm there) In any case, it's definitely a game I want for the 32x, and possibly th ebest game for the system. (especially for my as I;m a big flight/space sim fan, less so for more constricted arcade style things like Starwars arcade though)

Shadow Squadron is worth 7 dollars it is arguably one of the best 32X games period.

It's worth $7... but can be had cheaper easily.

You know i ve never heard about non region locked 32X games .

Could you point me to a list of the games that are region free?

I m in Europe and its so damn hard to get by 32X games , you usually only find Virtua Racing , Doom , Star Wars and a bunch of other minor shitty titles

there was a list on here somewhere, in the for sale section iirc i'll have a look for it when i have more time, however you can do a DIY test without the games.

download kega fusion set it to pal mode and try loading NTSC/Jap games the region lockout screen shows even on Kega and you'll see which games cross over. this is how i found out kolibri works on all regions shame that chaotixs doesnt, although it cheaper to buy a US 32x and mod your megadrive and get the cart from the US than it is to get the PAL cart

If we're honest, almost all of them (http://www.guardiana.net/MDG-Database/Complete-List/Mega%20Drive%2032X/) fall into that category :/

Sangokushi and Fifa (region exclusives) are region free, and Mortal Kombat 2. VR, Doom and Star Wars are not. Probably cheapest all round to buy a US 32x with a nice bunch of games.

That said, I'd've probably bought more US games if it wasn't for the fact that everyone insists on super expensive priority mail for even low-value games. Bah.

Mortal Kombat II is actually region free?

I had memories of playing that at the time , but i thought it was just my warped mind.

I ll buy it back pronto, then:)

i admit a LOT of 32X games are shitty , but you know... you only see things like 36 Great Holes or Toughman contest on auction these days ( i mean other than the tried an true VF , VF and SW)
