I've haven't read those, but I do pan on getting Confessions. I'd also like to buy Phoenix: The Rise and Fall and Rise of Video Games. The only game book I have is Game Over, and it's as dry as the Nevada summer.

The only videogame book I own is Arcade Fever. It's pretty good, though missing too many games that deserved inclusion (Monaco GP, Amidar, Bagman, Cliffhanger, Congo Bongo...), and where it cuts off is somewhat arbitrary (it ends at 1985, which is fine, except that it only includes 2 games from that year, and only a few from '84). I also don't like the epilogue, which basically blames NES for the downfall of arcades. But regardless, it has some good content (including a nice interview with Eugene Jarvis), good pics, and is mostly factually accurate.

If I had the time, I'd write a book on the Genesis and its add-ons.
