Not really, as long as it isn't an actual clone of the Wii. It's more of a ripoff than anything, since it isn't based off the Wii hardware at all.

I think its best considered a pirate/system on a chip more than a clone.

Still, that "The Mouse and the Cat" game looks like a rather interesting Pac-Man clone.

The Golf game GUI was taken directly from the Neo Geo smash hit Neo Turf Masters.

... When was the last console that released without a "free" AC adapter?

If you are looking for a cheap machine with Wii graphics, I'd recommend a Dreamcast. It got loads of free homebrew including pixel perfect NES, Master System and Neo Geo CD emulators, as well as loads of original software (like Bomberman Online, Virtua Tennis) which you can either buy for little money at ebay, or download and burn yourself (which probably is more expansive than just buying them).

They shouldn't let him on the internet then, someone could take advantage of him.

I'm not sure I follow. I used the internet as early as my tweens, and I was never taken advantage of.

It is obvious you were taken advantage of, you use the word "tween".

No matter how clothing companies, soccer moms, or 11yr olds try to make it "hip" by calling it "tween" the age of 10-12 is still "pre-teen".

And truthfully, the age of 12 should really just be called "doofus". Because everyone is an awkward doofus at 12.

It's more of a convenience thing, really. It's easier to type out "tween" than "pre-teen." And an age that terrible deserves an equally terrible word. Hence, tween.

I always thought 'tween' was a term adopted by therapists so they could refer to the age group 10-12 without offending kids. Pre-teens don't like the caste system where they are inferior to 'teens', so they prefer to be called something that is neither because it makes them feel special. Sort of like saying a retard is 'special' when you're around them.

But I agree with Rusty, the use of the term has just been pushed by marketing firms to create an extra demographic to market to. It doesn't mean that new consumers have appeared, they just overlap from the other two that existed already.

By using the term you promote ignorance in children (who live in a dream world where being a pre-teen isn't a handicap), and also consumerism in a now post consumer economy. You should really just take the time to write the extra characters.

They can refer to themselves as whatever they want, but 13-14 year olds are still gonna look down on them.

for the price, that actually looks sorta cool, depending on how good the tilt sense actually is. The funny thing is the games are about as deep as most Wii games *snicker*. I wonder what the hardware is since it looks better than SNES/Genesis.

I think most people do that because 'retard' is a terribly offensive word, and the mentally-handicapped usually have enough to contend with without being called names by people who should generally know better.

Man you know that sentence makes zero fucking sense, right?

except it shouldn't be, mental retardation is the technical term. Just like black people now have to be called "african-american" when 99% have never set foot in africa.

I think what he means is that the system is battery powered and therefore doesn't normally need an AC adapter, but they have a special where they include one so you don't have to run it on batteries or buy a separate adapter.

'Mental retardation' is a far cry from 'retard,' though.

Well I guess it is all about context. I can retard or advance the timing on my car. It would be fucked up If yelled retard at someone like my cousin, while not retarded, I can only describe as borderline Forrest Gump. That being said I still use it all the time and sometimes fucktard as well.

I don't think there's any problem with the word as it was originally used. Actually the French word for "late" is "retard," but there's a difference between that and calling someone a retard.

In my opinion, "Special" also sounds pretty offensive. I mean, they are obviously not special in any way. It's almost like you are labeling them even more by saying they are "special" compared to everyone else. Which in turn, makes it seem like they are superior almost. That obviously isn't true. Unless they are an idiot savant or something, which is cool by me. Damn English language.
I think we just need to go back to calling them handicapped or something like that.

I was always fond of "mongoloid," such a fun word to say.

Seriously though, I think "slow" is adequate enough. I mean, it very succinctly sums up the condition and it's hard to call it offensive when it's so blatantly accurate. "Man, that guy in shipping is worthless, it's like he doesn't understand a word I say" "oh, Steve? yeah, he's slow" "oh...I see..." Only a retard would think they were talking about how fast he works (ba dum ching, see what I did there? he he).

There we go! I think we just found a perfect word. Or, we could just go "Of Mice and Men" and say "Crazy bastard"
Wait, wasn't this thread about something once?

If anything it should be 'handicap'. That way it sounds a little more offensive and people use it, but it is accurate. So it would be like 'Man, Tom bowls like a handicap'. Also, a handicap in sports can play in and be a politically correct solution, in case women's groups are up in arms or something.
