You find out that the early 90's band Crash Test Dummies actually weren't that bad.

I got God Shuffled his Feet for $2, and it's quickly becoming one of my favs.

Anybody else discover new music out of the blue?

I can't say I've ever bought a CD completely out of the blue -- I'd always heard at least one song by the band (if not on that album), or been familiar with related works (a different band that one of the members was in or something), or in the case of one record label, bought it because of the label (Grand Royal).

Generally, if a random CD by an unknown band interests me, instead of buying it at that exact moment in time I'll go home and look into it a little. I've bought albums that I haven't heard a single song off of before, but in these cases I'm at least familiar with the band to some degree. Now that I think of it, I cannot remember the last time that I simply bought a CD for myself that I had no prior knowledge of in the least.. Whenever I'm in the mood to purchase me a new CD, I'll go into the music store and seek out an album from a buffet of bands/albums I have in mind.

The last semi-mysterious impulse buy was Scorpions - Taken By Force. ..and I'm really glad I took the chance on it. It has become my favourite late-seventies rock album.

EDIT: ..haha, Crash Test Dummies.. they're a good band. It's been quite some time since they last crossed my mind. That's a cool album to be introduced to them with.

Last time I did that I got At The Drive-In's "Relationship of Command" and "Kill The Musicians" by Screeching Weasel. I love both to this day.

It has become my favourite late-seventies rock album.

The only valid favorite late-seventies rock album is "Nevermind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols". Nothing else counts!

(OFF TOPIC!!!)
In the Sega16 avatar, there's some guy in a suit smoking near the center. Who is he?

It's Red Skull from Captain America. Looking back on that thing, I realized that it should have been just Genesis guesss. Eh.
