View Full Version : Preview: Burning Fists: Force Striker
After over a decade in the hands of private collectors, a new Sega CD game is about to make its debut. Burning Fists: Force Striker is currently being finished up by Good Deal Games and is slated for release at next month's CiniClassic! To whet your appetite, Sega-16 has a full preview (http://www.sega-16.com/forum/../Preview-%20Burning%20Fists.htm), including some info straight from GDG itself and even a beta video! Miss it not!

Interesting. All you're missing is a link to where it can be preordered.

For those who preordered, is anyone elses order "processing"?
Added it at the bottom. :)

Man, that J2 site has quite a few games I'd like to order, but the site sucks too much balls for me to proceed. It is very slow, hangs quite a bit and occasionally causes my browser to crash. Oh well, they would have gotten a decent amount of $$$ from me if the site worked more gooder. I'll try tomorrow. If it still has problems, I will set the website on fire.

The backgrounds are really nice. Seems like a decent fighter, but they need to resample that mayan warrior :P

Hmm... I used IE of all browsers, and it worked fine.

I'm not impressed. Only 200 copies? Come on, that's a blatant 'BUY ME COLLECTORS' attitude, and I hate it. It's been bought from some selfish collector, so let the wider world play it. How many will be bought in bulk and eBayed by profiteers this way, eh? I can understand a game like Beggar Prince, where you need to pay for the plastic casings, cartridge and so on. That costs money, and still they're doing a higher print run of 600. All GDG are doing is burning a few CDs, slapping together a few glossy inserts and sticking them in spare American Sega-CD cases.
Other than that, the game looks nice. Shame I'll not be able to buy it.

I've talked with J2games and GoodDealGames, and they said there is a slim, and a VERY slim chance they might press some more copies. Don't hold your breath.

Yeah…he sounds kinda like Elmo, in my opinion.

Is everyone elses preorder "processing"? I've never preordered, but I'd like to know.

To me that would seem normal in a case like this where the game isn't yet available. You can always e-mail them and ask for clarification, though.

"100% Sega Tasted" ... a winning happy time awaits surely hungry gamer!?
I'm assuming the Engrish was fixed during the tweaking this game received. Hopefully it has shaped up to be a well-balanced, interesting fighter. It certainly doesn't look particularly deep from that beta video, but time will tell.

So...I do want this, but I don't have a Sega CD yet and can't really talk myself into buying this for that reason alone.
A decision I'll come to regret, surely.
You need a Sega CD! Think of all the great games you're missing out on.

The video made the game look insanely easy.

Well, it was said in the brief interview that the computer AI in the beta was complete shite. Hopefully it has brained up considerably since then.
