  1. I got a flu during the weekend and I'm still trying to recover. Sorry for the delay.
  2. Thanks for these links! That's some great insight on Tectoy back in the early '90s. I've also added the information you translated from the interview. With the other article, we should have enough to publish our piece on Senna. Thanks so much for all your help translating. There's so much good info on Senna out there, but most of it isn't in English, and it will be great to finally have a piece in English that tells this story.
  3. And this other post is also very interesting for the Super Monaco GP II article I think:
  4. And, yes, I'm translating that interview segment you asked me for the Ayrton Senna article right now.
  5. Man, I found this today. *HAVE A LOOK*:

This blog has three Brazilian authors and they translated this major economics Brazilian magazine article about Tec Toy from 1992.
It has all sorts of numbers in there.
Maybe you/someone could produce a special article about Tec Toy just based on that. If we combine that and the Stefano's video interview to UOL we have all sorts of info. The great thing I notice from the 1992 magazine article is that Stefano's recent claims seem to be consistent with the info provided back in 1992.
  6. That's awesome! A lot of what you mentioned corroborates what I've found online, and it's good to have multiple sources. This is going to be a great article, I think!
  7. There's also some very interesting info regarding the credits of the game that I'll also track down and see how much water it holds. Apparently, they had people from the Phantasy Star team working on the project, along with people which would later work on Daytona USA and Sega Rally for the Sega Saturn.
I think it's very interesting to gather this kind of info because it can give us a hint of how important the project was to Sega.

I received the magazine access through shitty swf format, but I'll crack it and extract the images ASAP.
  8. I've already received access to the online version of that magazine. Stefano doesn't actually claim what maxi said (about SOA rejecting the project), he misinterpreted it I think.
But the article is very, very good and has several references to other local magazines of the time. It's pretty interesting.
It also has a quote about the profit that Sega allegedly made out of the Ayrton Senna's license. The quote comes from a biographical book that I have easy access to, so I'll check the references for you.
Some other claims about the gameplay changes from the original MD's Super Monaco GP game to the second one I'll also have to check myself in order to give you a reliable picture of what kind of improvement was made out of the Senna's advisory.
  9. I always found it funny when you thank us members for anything because I'm so grateful for all the efforts (and I can't even imagine the amount of it) you have made along all these years to keep this community alive and keep feeding the site with great content.
I may disagree with you about this or that, but I have enormous respect for you as a person and as a great founder and protector (in the sense of take care) of our community . So, yeah, whenever I can help you to accomplish something it will always be my pleasure and actually my turn to say: thank you!
  10. Thanks so much! This is shaping up to be a great article. There's very little about it in English, and I think it's a story more people need to read!
