This game is pretty good, but after a while I found a trick that would pretty much guarantee you a goal. Take the puck handler (an especially fast one like Fedorov works great) into the goal line...
I've also come to appreciate this game even more with the passing of time. For years I preferred the faster pace of Sonic 2 and the luscious graphics of Sonic 3-S&K over the simplistic and...
I can't really speak for objective musical quality, but the soundtrack to the Genesis X-Men just rocks my soul everytime I hear it.
Even the Angry Video Game Nerd liked this game!
It is a very stylized take on the franchise, unlike the Activision NES games which seemed to be trying for a more "realistic" take on the franchise....
I agree with pretty much everything you've said here! So glitchy yet still fun!
Just thought of another one:
Tom & Jerry: The Ultimate Game of Cat and Mouse
So much better than the Genesist T&J: Frantic Antics game! (probably the SNES game too!)
The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy (certainly has some similarities to the Joe & Mac series).
Little Nemo: The Dream Master
Snoopy’s Silly Sports Spectacular (gets intense in mutliplay...
I REALLY like game, ever since I got it new back in the 90s. I can understand how some people might find the spin dynamic disorienting and difficult to control. And I also understand how some...
I dislike Big the Cat and the occasional choppy frame rate.
But I LOVE Sonic Adventure; always have, in fact.
Also, Dreamcast version > Gamecube version
As far as glitches go... just play...
Dreamcast
Pros: It's a Dreamcast
Cons: It didn't have a NiGHTS game.
Saturn
Pros: It had a NiGHTS game.
Cons: It's not a Dreamcast
Yeah, 2-player mode is great so long as you avoid Heavy and Bomb. Even Charmy Bee can throw the game out of balance since he can fly infinitely.
I would love to see speedruns of this game using...
I second the motion! It's too bad the Saturn/PC version hasn't made any reappearances (that I'm aware of) in all the repackaging of the classic Sonic games. Those special stages are pretty...
Being a new Saturn owner, I was pleasantly surprised by the relative quality of 3D Blast for Saturn. If I was a Saturn owner back in the 90s, I probably would have been very disappointed to receive a...
I'll add one more:
* The title character is AWESOME!
Oh yes, such a classic of the 90s!
Altered Beast!
And, yes, I do kinda enjoy Batman Forever on occasion... just as long as I don't have to play the warehouse level.
It has always struck me as strange, but I think it probably reads easier to the human eye than if "SONICCD" was written in the same font on the same line without a large space in between the words.
Somebody needs to make a Super Karnov Brother.... er... Cousins game! Think of the unique mix of gameplay!
Good to know that Sega has finally figured out how to port their old CD-Rom archives. Took them awhile to even get Sonic CD on the Gamecube compilation disc.
Now we just need them to re-release...
Been awhile since I played Atomic Runner, but this game's quality really did surprise me. It isn't always much to look at, but it is fun to play.
I appreciate the Gamecube as a graphical powerhouse with solid first party support. I just hate everything about the way it looks on my TV table. It's so freaking tall (especially with the Game Boy...
If I remember, Shadow Dancer runs much smoother than Strider. No silly pause and "load" screens!
EDIT: Dang, this thread has nearly 950 posts since 2005! Some people must really like Shadow...
Thanks for the feedback, folks! I only have Model 1 power adapters on hand, so I'll just hold off on testing it out on the Game Gear.
Is the Game Gear compatible with Genesis AC adapters or does it need something specific? Also, does it matter if its a Genesis 1,2, or 3?
I've seen 3rd party adapters that claim compatibility but...
Mega Man: The Wily Wars! It may not have been as good as the NES originals, but I still would have bought it!
EDIT:
D'oh, I forgot about the Sega Channel. Seems like nobody used it, eh?
