I can distinctly recall the UK magazine, Mega Power, reviewing Darkseed for the Mega CD. If I remember correctly, they rated it well, awarding it somewhere around the 90% mark.

That's about 0.1% of the entire PCE library!
Lodoss Tou Senki. Seriously, I love it even more than SFCD.
But it's not there so I choose Snatcher. It's the atmosphere that does it to me - those little touches like looking up culture or...
I've just burnt the CD and for some reason the PCM tracks tend to randomly stop every now and again, leaving the game music-free up until another track is played. I'm using a Jp MD with a PAL MCD if...
Is barely finished or [has barely been] finished? Pier Solar bashing, even if it is insinuated, will not be tolerated in these parts ;)
Probably already been mentioned, but Pier Solar 2? *hint*
Dosen't really need to; with both India and China being PAL regions, would you bet against it being the most widely used format?
Mightn't be original hardware but Picodrive on my Wiz is far sexier.
WTF is up with you people? A Mega Cart is by far the simplest (and best IMO) way to play imports. Just stick the cart in and play any region CD game. Oh yeah, and it will also back up the pitifully...
Bit late to the party but the rarest games are:
- Sing! (Okay, not strictly a game but still super-rare)
- Psychic Detective: Orgel
As I recall there was at least a year gap between the release of the two games on PC/Amiga, if not two.
Just looked up Lost Eden by the way. I loved the music... very Enigma-esque.

Yeah 'cause the Neo is awash with shooters that look like they could've been released (and indeed were released) for the last generation of consoles. I'd be interested to hear what you do consider to...
Anyone heard anything on this lately?
I saw the Surging Aura thread and wondered whether this had progressed.
Also, not strictly Mega CD (though it does feature in the game, does it not?) but...
If you like Parodious you must get Keio Yugekitai/Keio Flying Squadron for the Mega CD. 'Tis the absolute bollocks, I tell you.
I always thought it was the Wondermega M1 that had the best sound, but having never seen (or heard) one in the flesh, I can't vouch for it.
Too right. Nowehere near as dreamy as Wondermega....
Sod the PCE, MD and SNES. The master of animated tiles and undisputed king of the 16-bitters has to be the Neo Geo. The likes of Sapphire, Thunder Force IV and Axelay can't hold a candle up to the...
But it does equal 168... I just did it in my head... twice. Don't mean to sound patronising but you need to calculate the parenthesised sh*t first, in case you didn't know.
I'm hardware only as far as playing in front of a telly is concerned, but a Wiz running Picodrive is a much better way of playing on the go than a Nomad and a sackful of batteries and carts.
I wish it was as good as the Amiga's.
Check out the vocals in the intro music:

Very atmospheric. Also, check out some of the instruments used in the Amiga's sietch music (1:14...
You meant PCM, right? Just checking.
Snatcher simultaneously uses the PCM chip for percussion and the FM chip for instruments.
Shadowrun also uses both chips in parallel, to very good effect I might add.
Your first 'must have' is a Mega Cart; this will allow you to play any region game. I take it you're using PAL hardware? Is it 50hz/60hz switched?
Right, once that's all taken care of, the must...
I'm not sure you do, depending on the region of the hardware. For me, every game I have runs fine at 60hz, even PAL FMV games. It's the other way round when things start to go wrong as NTSC games...
My mistake --- when I referred to Sega marketing the MCD as being the next level in gaming, I should've made it clear that I meant this was in Europe and NA. Would've been a bit pointless if they'd...
