What I suggest you do is get GensKmod, VGMPlay and VGM MM, then extract those instruments from the sound files (build a rom using VGMPlay, load the rom in Gens, then go to cpu>debug>genesis>sound)....
Mega Drive!
Welcome to the future, make your time.
While Quartet sounds good in PSG, we can't really tell how it would've sounded like in FM. If the original arcade game is any indication though, it would've sounded better:...
Well, I remember preferring to watch friends play the NES as the games were generally too hard for me - even Duck Tales and SMB. The first NES game I really got into was TMNT II, and I loved Mega Man...
@Barone: Absolutely, though my priority is on 2D games. Go ahead man :)
"They're emulation and don't do justice to the original material. At elast, I wouldn't imply tha tthe PS2 versions are...
Here's a list I have of Saturn ports that are mostly worse than some other version: http://626535750121256080.weebly.com/saturn-inferior.html
Please comment if you know any of this is incorrect, got...
Good idea. One thing to consider is volume levels though; the last three videos are fine, then the previous three are really quiet.
It wasn't influential, but I really liked that 'double plane' mechanic found in the first two Shinobi games where you could switch between the fore- and background through jumping and nothing on the...
The first game has the best music, and it's pretty fast which I like, but it's just not as polished as I'd expect from a Mario game. Having recently replayed the second one I found it too slow and...

A few more:
Sleepwalker (PC) - Zoo
Myth (C64) - Theme
Quest for Glory (PC) - Erana's Peace
1. Panorama Cotton
2. Thunder Force III
3. Battle Mania Daiginjou
I think of these categories kind of like parts of a vehicle, they all need to fit together to make the whole thing run smoothly. Categories also blend together in some areas and more so in certain...
SG-1000 - H.E.R.O.
Master System - Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap
NES - Super Mario Bros. 3
32X - Space Harrier
Genesis - Panorama Cotton
Sega CD - Lunar: Eternal Blue
SNES - SMW2:...
That SNES one wasn't bad, except for the jokes. Kinda like a one man, unfunny version of Game Sack.
Still good, but nowadays I prefer to play the Tails in Sonic 1 hack so I can swim/fly past the boring parts (lava river, most of labyrinth zone).
Actually you can look down, and it's not that hard of a jump. I agree that the NES game is better in most ways though.
Try not to exploit macro combos too much later on, the game is pretty easy. And this might be a no-no for you, but playing it on an emulator helps a lot with the tedium of random encounters in some...
Platformer - Wario Land, Sonic & Knuckles, Rocket Knight Adventures, Yoshi's Island

haha, I sure did :) That was perfect, thanks for posting.
Only it was posted about three months ago by me, but I suppose it's worth repeating.
One way to make the game more playable is using a dual analog controller and an emulator, then playing it in dual mode by yourself with remapped controls.
It's only 5 stages long though and there's...
