If you want a good controller for small hands (like those from a kid) get this controller:

You have to also take into consideration the massive use of dithering. PAL and NTSC users were mostly stuck in composite or even worse, RF. Dithering works just fine on the lesser forms of video...
Se ve muy bien. Hace bastante tiempo que no te veo por aqui.
Yes, Mickey Mania on the Sega Cd was the best one of the 16 bit versions of the game. There was a PS1 version too, with a different name.
Any specific model numbers that are known to have those solder pads?
VA0-VA6.5 Model 1s had painted LED rings, but eventually Sega found it was cheaper to make a red piece of plastic rather than a painted one. That red plastic ring debuted alongside a simplified 1...
Release the Krakens in his memory!
I'm sure there is a problem with the audio circuit. Check the capacitors and the CXA1034/AN7108 amplifier chip.
Yes, is it a bug with the newest VB update? I lost my status too.
Use a PC to format it, and a program like Partition Magic that allows you to set the format you want to use for it.
Great tunes, Flacko!
OMG! Rusty's BACK!!!! Welcome home, man!
That black stuff is graphite (Yes, the same thing pencils have). It was used in JAP units as a way to prevent corrosion.
Mega Amp is much better than CCAM. It was a nice design and it worked, but it's been demonstrated it's pretty inneficient.

Wasn't it this one? This has the same main beat:

I'm more of the idea that Sega should have waited more (~1 year) and improve things by cutting some of the unnecessary edges. The MD as-is was terribly rushed and as a proof of that there's the VA0...
I have this:
Megadrive? Yes, a Jap Model 1 VA0 MD.
Genesis? Yes, 3 VA2 Model 1s, 1 VA6, all HDG.
Sega CD? A Model 1 SCD
32X? A VA1 32X
Miscellaneous iterations? A Nomad, which I'm still...
Much better at 100K, but the FM-PSG balance is still off. Maybe try 110K?
PSG is too loud. Try reducing the resistance to anything close to 100K on the FM lines.
You sure it wasn't 14V? Because some old Genesis Model 1 regulators output that when not having a load, however the 7805s can handle up to 15V.
You're lacking the needed 100uf cap from gnd to pins 3 and 5.
That is not a clone, but an arcade board based on the MD architecture. It's the same hardware wise, but with some added hardware for coin detection and game changing.
Here, listen to some clips of Mega Amp on a VA1 MD2:

Tested the system on the AV outputs and the same issue is there. Wavyness on Genesis games, perfect picture on SMS games.
Actually I installed it on my VA1 MD2 by removing those resistors, and not bridging the pads, but only using the pad closer to the ASIC, thus removing any interference from the old circuit.
