I was kind of surprised at first seeing all those people who are stuck. I personally don't remember getting lost in this game or having much trouble though, so I guess I was comparing it to my...
I saw this thread and decided to cover Adon's Stage as a demonstration of what the game could sound like on the Genesis.

I think the Genesis should have had some enhancement chips for sure. Not quite like as everyone seems to call "cheater chips", but actually more like the NES' MMC series of mappers.
Oh yeah, you guys remind me with Metroid talk. Not sure how I could forget, but Metroid Fusion is pretty much what I played that got me into speedruns.
I remember when I just got a Metroid Fusion...
Yeah. After I play a game a few times, casual playing for me means speedrunning if I am good enough at it.
I used to be actively speedrunning Megaman X1-X4 and Mercs, and racing others at those...
I guess this means the 32X is canon afterall.
Hey, I've seen that before. My cousin was watching that show, and when this guy said how much he thought it was worth, I burst out laughing. Also, my own NES is "NES-001". That is extremely common.
Noticed this a while back. The guy originally wanted about $1,010 for it or something, but he looks to be gradually going down.

Oh, well I meant re-encoding if you encoded it twice with Movie Maker for example. The initial capture is obvious. Anyway, you should be fine, and tbh that video you linked looks good enough to me.
Well if you are comparing your videos to people that have HD capture devices, of course they would usually have better quality, assuming they are smart enough to use it properly, and there are plenty...
Haven't read through anything, but I might as well help you out with this.
I use a Dazzle DVC 100 as well. The "HD" means nothing, it's the same as the cheapest Dazzles you can find. The only...
This. No question.
Hey thanks Joe, and thanks to everyone that enjoys the cover of Bad Apple btw, since I don't think I properly thanked anyone yet. Also, making a ROM like that sounds cool. I wouldn't mind doing...
I don't consider them the "real" ones. Honestly, even though Geckoyamori made them with VOPM, there is no reason he can't re-do them with something like mid2smps or a tracker and play them on...
No, it's not playing from a Mega Drive, but it could for sure. I think Geckoyamori said he used VOPM to make those.
(Wish he'd upload more stuff to Youtube :( )
Sonic Boom sounds worse than the SNES originals imo... All of the tracks are so very unpolished.
If I remember correctly, they literally took these two tracks and sloppily ported them into this...
I feel like a minority here, but I think the CD version of X3 is far worse than the SNES original. I prefer the terrible grunge of X3 more than crap like gameshow stage 1 here:
...
I was implying that X3 sounds like complete garbage. X1 sounds much better really.

Ok, it was worth a try though. I think that VGM is optimized though, since 1.50 is a bigger size in general. Also, I don't think it's possible to reduce the FM version more. It's weird because it was...
evildragon: Nice, that sounds pretty cool. By the way, the chorus sections sound more garbled than everything else. It sounds like it's because of the FM squares. If you listen closely, I have FM1...
That's not transparent. It's just a simple effect like the waterfalls in Sonic.
Battlemania Daiginjou has a similar effect that makes a layer appear and disappear every frame.
...
evildragon: It sounds pretty neat. If you want to, you can remix it as you like.
Just gonna drop this off here. This is probably the most optimized SNES game I can think of.

Check out that radical rotating spaceship overkill at...
Oh well, that's no big deal to me. Still it's weird that it doesn't play properly. Wonder if this driver can be adjusted, maybe to fix some flaws or something.
Edit: Just a theory, but I was...
