Zebbe > Vincent Schiavelli (Corpse Killer) He died at 57.
They haven't posted anything on Twitter for 3 months and their website seems dead.
Yeah, I was thinking about that too. But still...
Hard to believe there was a such project planned for the 32X. Maybe he's wrong about everything he said, maybe he's wrong just about the codename.
I posted that picture on Assembler and the guy who originally took it (another former Sega employee) registered on the forum and told he was the one who mistakenly identified it as a black belt....
Nice find!
I've seen many times a game called Norse by Norsewest planned for Mega Drive and 32X and I was assuming it was Lost Vikings 2 but I didn't know another game was planned for Mega-CD.
It's not that simple. In 1993, a new wave of japanese developers entered the market of video game console by developing for the Mega-CD. The reasons: the decrease of the computer market, the...
Great work Melf!
The Sonic CD anecdote matches with what I read on Usenet about SOA not wanting to bring too japanese-esque games to North america after the semi failure of games such as Valis.

It plays well though it's pretty hard and a bit boring due to repetitive backgrounds (only 2 kind of background).
The game was also released in GB through the same magazine:

But yeah, I guess there's no copyright or something like that which would give to the game an...
Actually, I was thinking about a game like Circus Lido which is included in every release lists for PC Engine though it has never been sold in video games stores.
19DM was a pretty high price for...
...or more exactly, a game featuring Sonic, Mario, Bubble (from Bubble Bobble), a ninja turtle, etc. Also including music composed by Chris Hülsbeck.

Other advertised/reviewed or almost finished games I've heard about:
Last Action Hero
Second Samurai
Sid and Al's Incredible Toons
Side Pocket: Special Edition
According to Mega Drive Fan, Beep! MD and Working Design plannings, the game was planned for Mega-CD, not Mega Drive. (Another clue)
By the way, the 3 versions of Y's IV share the same musics (most...
Silence The Fallen > thanks for the links.
Never heard about that. Do you have a source, please?
Indeed. The game was renamed A Side Story of Armageddon in NA, but I think WD would have released it months after Lunar Eternal Blue since they couldn't translate and release 2 games simultaneously...
WD tried to release Cosmic Fantasy 3 and 4 but failed. IIRC, Victor Ireland didn't want to release Cosmic Fantasy 1 and 2 on Sega CD since he already did it for the PCE.
He also tried to release...
Good read indeed!
Since SOJ gave up the Mega Drive, that makes sense that SOA was in charge of the development of the 32X. Though, I'm still not totally convinced because of what pointed out...
Sorry to revive this thread, but I've a question I want to ask for years: which studio made the "Disney-Sega" games (Castle of illusion, Quackshot, World of Illusion)? I only know it's an internal...
It seems Darxide is the first game in which Richard Jacques is credited.
Jesper Kyd talking about his career, Reto Moto, Zyrinx, Dice...
One of the guys who wrote the book about the history of Sonic told me that.
I wonder what Sonic would have looked like if Sega had used it, as it was planned in the early development of the game.
no, and it probably won't be dumped before a looong time (the Sega CD 32X market doesn't have many fans).
By the way, the game shown above is the NA version. The SA versions have black and white...
