Okay, so as I've been lurking a little around the forums, I've started to notice that a lot of people have this name, "Raul Julia" in their signature. I looked it up, and apparently Raul Julia is a Puerto Rican actor- right?
So...Could somebody fill me in? What's with the whole Raul Julia thing? I just don't quite get it.

There was a debate going on whether Raul Julia or Christopher Lambert (who player Raiden in Mortal Kombat) was more badass... and the Julia supporters started forming a cult out of that thread....
From then on out sources are lost in Sega-16 forum legend, but take it for granted that for many around here, Raul Julia is somewhat the patron saint of Sega-16

I always wondered why Raul was dressed like Bison from Street Fighter in Nuzio's sig. I guess he DID play Bison from Street Fighter!
Also, I agree. It's just a joke which is actually extremely amusing and helps put everyone's differences aside (like a real religion). Anybody who clearly hates Raul Julia shall be electrified to death with European household AC current, since that's where the Mega Drive was most popular. Right along side North America, except our household electricity isn't rated as high as it is in Europe. We're trying to employ ironic medieval torture methods to discourage the non-believers, give us a break.
... Umm, anyway, to put it simply. Praise Raul Julia, who guides us with his infinite wisdom. Also praise Melf for he gave life to the alter of Mega Drive and Raul Julia, Sega-16! Both must be praised with much intensity in order to sustain the balance of the site!

Any newcomer here would be wise to make his peace with "the Raul Julia thing." I never chose to become a part of it, mainly because it predates me and I don't like those ingratiating bandwagon-jumpers.
But I've always respected it and appreciated the inside joke. Streetsofrage crossed the line, and I think it's time for a sacrifice.

I like how some people get offended/feel alone because of it.
Like that guy who said we were all ganging up on him, when he tried to suggest Sega-16 be about the 32 and 8 bit era's as well, and people disagreed.
