    Default Moonwalker...

Theres prolly been a bunch of threads about this, but I'm pretty mad. I wanted to purchase a Moonwalker for my collection because it's a good game IMO... the prices are insane! I remember this being a 10 dollar game on ebay before he died. ugh

Yea I wanted to get it too because the Genesis versions of Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal sound pretty cool.

It's not the best game ever, but it's definitely not horrible.

And even if it was horrible, the music would still totally kick ass.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

I had the same trouble when I recently went looking for a copy, think it may just have to be put in the pile of games I won't be getting.

Moonwalker is actually a pretty solid game, its not very deep but the gameplay is fun for a little while.

    Hardly horrible.

The music is probably the only redeeming quality.
The whole monkey thing is just really pointless, and finding those kids hidden behind doors and whatnot, blah. Controls feel unresponsive at times.
Graphics are above average for the time and the moves you can pull off are kinda cool (although also pointless), but the game is just plain boring.
Zombies and T&J do the whole "collect kids/neighbors/chopsticks" thing way better.

No. Neither ZAMN nor Toejam & Earl are better.

Toejam & Earl 2 is more fun for a while but during the later levels you realize that there won't be any surprises during the later stages and it just gets tedious.

You are actually being serious, aren't you?
Those two games are better for their 2p mode alone. Not to mention the replay value and deeper gameplay.
I'd really like to know where all the love for Moonwalker is suddenly coming from. I've never heard anyone call it a decent game before last year.
I can understand people wanting to buy it, because it's sort of a collector's item now. But a solid or decent game? It's plagued by too many flaws.

idk...I played the arcade version first, then I went to play the console version. The console version is absolute garbage in comparison to the arcade version. It probably has something to do with the fact that they're completely different games. But man was I disappointed when I played the console version...

I've loved this game since it came out.

I'm glad I didn't try to make a quick buck off his death. I'm gonna go play it now that it's on my mind.

Any idea when you guys think the price is going to level off for this game? It's frustrating because it's super common, but people keep trying to make a quick buck off of Michael's death and inflate the price artificially.
