Genesis Finally documenting very rare Sega MD systems - Advice needed

    Hi everyone,
In line with a previous post (http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showpos...9&postcount=35) I have finally got round to taking pictures and documenting the rarer items in my collection to hopefully sell them sometime soon. I posted on another forum but did not get much interest and so I thought I would post here where there are more Mega Drive die hard fans

I am planning to sell the following rare Mega Drive/Genesis systems:

Aiwa MegaCD Hifi/Tape Deck/MegaDrive - Boxed and Complete
Victor WonderMega 2 - Boxed and Complete
Heart Beat Personal Trainer - Boxed and Complete
Miracle Piano Genesis Version - Boxed but missing earphones, owners manual & registration/quick start guide
Pioneer Laseractive Drive and Genesis Adaptor - Boxed and Complete
Pioneer LaserActive 3D Goggles - Boxed and Complete
LaserActive Games - Various LD Discs and Games
TeraDrive v3 - Not Boxed but Complete with Monitor, Manuals etc.
Amstrad Mega PC - Not in original box but Complete with all Manuals, Discs, Monitor, Accessories (except mouse).
Mega Modem - Boxed and complete modem for Mega Drive Mark 1

So far they are all working (some have been in boxes for 5+ years) and I have been going through each one testing them. All that's left is the TeraDrive and Laseractive.

I started taking pictures and videos of the them working in various states and was thinking what's the best way to this? Also I was wondering if there are any requests from the members here for anything specific i.e. pictures of systems, accessories, or videos of them working.

My main plan is to document and record everything as much as possible so that when they go to auction people can see for themselves that everything is legit and working (or not working if the status of the above changes).

I was even planning to link to videos here so that people can see for themselves out of curiosity and interest.

    Videos are here:
    Aiwa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7a5bOw1qzo
    Wondermega M2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdV_xK2m3AI
    Miracle Piano: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlbKdzgF_3k
HeartBeat Personal Trainer - First Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlAq7Dfbt5I
    LaserActive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWIm6XVhzTk
    LaserActive 3D Glasses: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6U3_CMcilY
    Amstrad Mega PC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUue5n-IYWs
    TeraDrive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9QFMJ9Xzh0

    and pictures are here:
    http://s902.photobucket.com/albums/ac225/naevax/ebay/
    and
    http://s902.photobucket.com/albums/ac225/naevax/sega/

I would appreciate any help or advice that people can give since this is the first time I have ever done anything like this. I am not even sure what kind of price I will be able to ask for.

    Just had a quick look:
The User Instructions book for the Mega PC Monitor has a pin-out diagram for the connector and the same goes for the Instructions book for the Mega PC which has diagrams for most of the ports on the back and instructions for changing components inside.
    I'm afraid that's all I could find.

No idea what the Master Disk is but the Counterpoint software was created by Amstrad to be a graphical front-end (GUI) for Dos. All you could pretty much do is create shortcuts to dos programs - it's pretty rubbish :P

It's next on my list to do. I have just taken it out of the box (not original) and with the exception of the monitor cable its complete and quite impressive :P

Wow, this is nice stuff! I'd love to see a video of the heartbeat trainer in full action.

Personally I'm most interested in the MegaPC or the Teradrive.

What on earth is the MegaModem though?

Always wanted one of those Aiwa's I wish SEGA or Aiwa or both were bold enough to take their radio to the North American market.

It was a modem designed for the Mega Drive 1 and used the EXT port on the back.

Surprisingly wikipedia has quite a bit of info on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Modem

I also just added videos for Miracle Piano and Wondermega 2 (RG-M2) although no annotations for the moment.

Damn! Just realised the mouse I was using for the Amstrad Mega PC is not the original one that came with it and I cannot seem to find the original

Makes me think I never had it
