    Megadrive

just got myself a official JP copy of, Wolfchild
for the mega cd, and it won't load

I wounder if there could be an update
    for the multi-bios?

also, it would be great to see in a future update
having bios to load the correct screen with its
corresponding region, if thats even possible

Annet Futatabi, Earnest Evans - work perfectly with region-free BIOS (won't boot without it)
Sengoku Denshou, WonderMega Collection - crash at the BIOS screen

However, these aren't originals (ahem), so maybe something else is going on with SD and WMC. I might try using ConvSCD to see if that helps. Anyone tried these with originals?

BTW there's a lot of flickering at the top of the BIOS screen. Some sort of timing issue? Is the region-free BIOS based on PAL code or something?

I found there was flicker at the top of the Euro BIOS when it was run at 60Hz speed on my PAL MCD (Multi BIOS chip modded), this may be unrelated but hope it helps.

probably you have old firmware. bios loading works fine on any system only on carts with firmware v12 or more new

for all who can't run some game on mega cd:
cart just change bios to some hacked version and this allow you to start game. hacked bios not check cd region, so allow you to run any region, original bios check region and if CD not from same region as CD unit, then system will stay on bios screen or cd player will be started.
BUT any bios can't help if game do region check by self or physycally cant work on sytems from other region
also i recommended to try some various versions of hacked bios, i put one on my website, but that is not mean that it is sole version in all over the world

Thanks very much to folks who've weighed in, and to Krikzz for being so willing to help. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if WonderMega Collection had some way of checking whether it's running on an X'Eye. Sounds like it might be a good idea to start a thread finding out which Mega/Sega CD games do their own region check?

THAT would be fun to see.

    max rom size 5mb
I think you mean MB, 5 milibits would not hold even one game.

jp games is ntsc? if so, then you should use U bios, if not, then you should use E bios.
if you see some like "this game developed only for ntsc systems" then bios loading can't help, because game checks console region also (main console region, not CD unit region)
i want repeat that bios swap abble to help pass region check on bios level, and bios swap can't help to pass region check on game level (if game checks main system region)

if you can see screen with sonic and sega logo on black background, then region checks on bios level is passed, so if you have some trubles after this moment, then none of the bios will not help you.

i tired talk about bios loading (: may be somebody who has good english can explain tricks with bios better. i think that bios swapping features is same for everdrive, megacart and neo myth, so you can read some threads about this carts+bios loading

to Lastcallhall: in next few months will be available Severdrive with empty place for DSP1. stoneagegamer probably will be sell carts with preinstalled DSP1 as option

A quick question about the Super Everdrive: I saw that the pcb will fit a US SNES cart, but will it fin inside of a Japanese Super Famicom cart?
