How is the new saves system working (from changelog: "auto sram backup. manually sram data backup is not need anymore")?

So you do not have to care about setting anything, you just flash a game and the firmware automatically picks up the right save file? But what if you want to have more save files for one game (more people etc.). Thanks.

beastie13 was cool enough to throw in a donor case so here's my first attempt at a Everdrive case

The case is beat up so the fact that the hole for the pause button is too big isin't a big deal. I did it by eye and was off a hair. You can't see in the pic but there's a hair-width gap between the button and case so no rubbing. I used a file to make the SD slot in about 5 minutes. I used masking tape to make sure the length and width were correct. It's funny I was more concerned about screwing up the slot than drilling the hole which I did mess up, a little

I haven't messed with the save files yet so I can't comment.

I faced some serious problems with my Everdrive MD that arrived today.
    Maybe someone can help...

I took the plunge and ordered finally. I got one from Tototek fully cased and labeled. Apparently after my order they have 2 left. How long has it been taking for everyone to get theirs when they get the free shipping and live in the United States? Hopefully it doesn't take too long.

Sure, sounds like a deal. I hope mine doesn't have too many issues or anything like the poster above did.

I've always ordered mine (ED, SED, & MED) from Kitsch-Bent, and they usually take 2-3 days shipping. Haven't had an issue with any of them yet.

My Everdrive is now incapable of reading ANY SD card, it seems. I turn it on, go to SELECT GAME and it gives me this:

    Code:
    fat init...
    HC

    sel error: 50
EDIT: OK this is weird. I had the Genesis, Sega CD and 32X all hooked up and it was doing what is described above. I removed the 32X and it worked fine. Put the 32X back on and the problem arose. Disconnected the Sega CD (which was without power) and it worked fine even with the 32X attached. Hooked everything back up, supplied Sega CD with power and everything works. False alarm. But a strange one.

    @Joe Redifer

32X is a misconceived piece of hardware, ruining all hardware's compatibility and make things very clunky. AVOID!
The 32X is the bastard son: Not by SOJ and hated by retailers, developers, consumers... Kinda born abortion.

Given that it works now, I don't know how open you'd be to reseating the 32x cables, but that might be a long term solution should the issue ever arise again.

Making sure all the power cables are plugged in is the solution.

You should be able to change the OSes back no problem.
