So basicalliy it's only having problems with a few Genesis ROM's but what about 32x game flaws, and does it support Sega Master System ROM's, and can I use it to play Sonic Crackers or Tetris on my Sega Genesis, and does it have region lock with ROM's?

Sonic Crackers is the beta for Knuckles Chaotix. It should work. Like I said, unless something REQUIRES EEPROM, it should work on the Everdrive. SMS games work fine as well. If a rom is for a specific region, you'll need to patch it to work on your region Genesis before putting it on the SD card. For example, Darxide with the "A" region setting needs to be patched before it will run on a US Genesis. That's true for any flash cart.

Only if you use something like ucon64 to apply the GG codes to the rom image, then copy it to the SD card.

You could still use an actual Game Genie with the ED, right?

Also, the EEPROM games in that PDF won't save, but you can still play them, right?

Does anyone here know of a good program to change the region code or patch the region code of a genesis ROM?

There's a thread on GG region cracks here somewhere. I tend to use ucon64 or the app conle wrote available over at the NeoFlash forums. Conle's app will also apply IPS files to images as well. It's meant to be a plugin for the NeoMyth client app, but it also comes with a host app to run it by itself.

    SuperMD Plugin: http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index....ic,6186.0.html

As far as I can tell, Sonic Crackers, Tetris, and many other games including the hong kong unlicensed games do not have a region lock. I tested many roms by playing them in the fusion emulator and setting it to USA and turning off auto detect. I also tested roms that I knew were locked in this emulation setting and it came up with, "Sorry, you can not play this game" screen.

yeah i just now remembered that because tetris was an 89 release and region lock out was not implemented until after 92.

Darxide is easy - just change the "A" in the rom header to a "U" for US systems. Changing it to an "F" should make it playable by any system. You can use any hex editor to do that.

Some hacks on the net for EEPROM games let them be played as long as you ignore saving/loading. Some hacks let you play right up to the point where the game REQUIRES a load/save. And some basically cannot be played without EEPROM at all. You'll just have to look around and try various hacked versions.

Sport games from Acclaim (NBA JAm, College Slam, etc) would generally hang with stripped blue bars on startup.

The EA games (Rings of Power, NHLPA, ...) should play fine but obviously fail to save anything.

Wonderboy 5 hangs on title screen, happens even if you disable SRAM in Everdrive options. I don't know any fixed version.

I did not tested it but it seems Rockman also hangs on title screen , however a version that uses traditional SRAM exists.

As Chilly Willy said, there are sometime fixed or hacked versions floating around. I don't think any of thoses fixes allow for proper saving though, EEPROM and SRAM are just too different and it would require a serious code rewrite, not just some ROM patching.
