febreeze
its not something I have experience with, I think no matter what you do you're going to have to dispose of the case/inlays/manuals or even the stickers.
I don't mean to sound insensitive and it will come across that way, but i liked that smell on things, My friend underwent a similar thing and it didn't bother me so i never cleaned em.
but id try the alcohol solution and head over to the cover project or photocopy existing ones and replace them in a new DS/GB sleeve knicked from you local boutique![]()
just though of another he used to get rid of the smell on his clothes.
Boiling vinager!
He filled a large pot of vinegar in his kitchen, boiled it on the stove and closed the door, but in the kitchen he left items on the side which he was trying to get the smell out of.
it worked by the way, so might be worth trying it with you least liked game.
I have no idea if this would work for GBA/DS carts, but it couldn't hurt.
Try putting the cart in a small container with some apple slices. Apples absorb scent, it might just work. Fabric softener sheets might do the job too.
I got this idea because when I bought my car the previous owner was a heavy smoker, and I placed some dryer sheets under the seats, hid apples in various places in the car, and sprayed the fabrics with Febreze. It worked!
