    Default Tecmo Classic Arcade

    From Magic-Box:

Tecmo has pushed back the release date of the classic compilation Tecmo Classic Arcade for Xbox from September to October 2005.
    The compilation includes:

    - Tecmo Bowl (arcade)
    - Rygar
    - Starforce
    - Solomon's Key
    - Bomb Jack
    - Tecmo Cup
    - Pinball Action
    - Pleiads
    - Senjyo
    - Swimmer
    - Strato Fighter

I honestly hope it's being pushed back to add more games. This list is pretty sparce.

That's a game list rich with mediocrity. Rygar's cool and all, and Solomon's Key is decent, but ehh...

Ninja Gaiden is Tecmo, but the original arcade game will be an unlockable in the upcoming Ninja Gaiden Black for Xbox.

It should still be on this list though.

That list kind of underscores how Tecmo is just overrated for no reason. They've never been great.

Tecmo did put out some good stuff for the PSone, though. Tecmo Stackers is an awesome puzzle game once you get the knack for enormous combos, and the Deception series, especially #2, is highly cool. Monster Rancher 1 and 2 had a really neat concept, and I found them to be rather a source of good times. Then of course there's Dead Or Alive, but I've never much cared for that one.

But by no means would I consider Tecmo as being worthy of a classics complilation. Their best bet would be to give another try to redoing the Ninja Gaiden trilogy, and hopefully not botch it like on the SNES.

Oh, Tecmo has put out SOME good stuff, no doubt. I like Ninja Gaiden and the first DOA and Secret of the Stars. It's just that the name Tecmo is overrated for no reason.
