My Dreamcast is becoming REALLY erratic when it comes to playing CD-Rs of emulated games lately. At first it would play the games just fine, but would randomly just crash, but now I can rarely even get the games to work... it's quite aggravating.

17daysolderthannes suggested cleaning the system... would a dirty lens cause this? And if that's the case, would using a CD lens cleaner be advisable? I'm using DiscJuggler and burning the cdi onto the CD-R (TDK brand) at 4x speed, the lowest I can get it to go. Any help would be awesome, you guys.

what, those discs with the brush on the bottom? hell no, that shit is stupid.

clean the top of the lense with alcohol on a q-tip and spray the whole assembly with canned air duster. Also make sure to clean the spindle itself with alcohol on a q-tip as the Dreamcast seems to be especially prone to spindle slippage.
