    Default Lock-On Technology

    Hello,

I would be interested in getting a Game Genie. The Game Genie just don't work with my Gen Mobile, again. The Lock-On is not supported.

So I've been wondering, do that "thing" to make the locked-on game work is situated inside the Genesis cartridge slot, or inside the Genesis system, really hidden?
Would it be possible for me to remove my GenMobile cartridge slot, and switch it with the Genesis one, if the coponents to make the Lock-On work are all inside the Genny cartridge slot?

    Thanks

The reason why the GameGenie does not work is in the hardware design of the GenMobile. There is nothing one can do about it.

The Game Genie does not fit in the cartridge slot?

So what about Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Knuckles in Sonic 2, Blues Sphere? Is there's a way to make the Lock-On compatible and make thoses games working?

No, he means the GenMobile is lacking the logic and circuitry to use the Game Genie and Lock-On technology.

    Ah, ok.

So if I want to make the Lock-On work, I need to open the GenMobile, remove everything and... Well. In others words, this is impossible.

Do the Nomad support the Lock-On?

Nomad supports everything the Model 2 Genesis supports, except the SegaCD (yet) You will have to open it and add one wire though
