I don't agree with this list. This sounds more like a description of Cyber Shinobi for SMS. The graphics are very good for early 90s Genesis and the only awkward part of the controls is getting used to the double jump. I remember the move set, while lacking dash, being impressive for the time it came out with the double jumps, throwing multiple shiruken in the double jump, and the ninjitsu. The music is wicked awesome too.

I like this game a lot, which I think is odd because I don't care for the original Shinobi at all.

I still haven't beaten it, though. That last stage with all the different enemy rooms enrages my colon.

That last boss is the hardest PoS I have ever fought and beaten. Those Ninjas make up most of the difficulty and require a ton of memorization. Loki in Ghouls N Ghosts is the only similar boss I can think of off hand and he is much easier due to the lack of Ninjas.

I love Shadowdancer. I consider it one of the best Genesis games. But this thread is getting ridiculously long...

Kill the thread, please. With hammers, and cyanide. And shoot its corpse into the sun.

    Shadow Dancer sucks!

Pfft, when I was done with Shadow Dancer I was beating it easily on the hardest mode and the dog was just my fan club.

By the way, was anybody else freaked out by the different title screens after beating it? I played through it again just to see if I had unlocked new levels. I was fairly disappointed when the game was just more difficult.

To be fair though RoS really was good for the time but as far as I'm concerned ESWAT from roughly the same time period was better, I love that game, and it gets a fraction of the huge praise leveled at RoS.
I'd bash every of your argument, but I'll just say "fuck you, RoS is awesome" instead and be happy with it.

    Megadrive

This game contains the best song in the whole Genesis library... wait for it:

    Also worthy of mention:

It's a great game, really. I've played it a lot, only finished it once though. The last boss.......

This is the second Genesis game that I finished back then. After Altered Beast, but that one wasn't really a challenge anyway.
