Video Card for The Sims 3

I'm looking into upgrading the family PC for my wife to play sims 3, but I was never good at video cards.

I don't want to spend a lot and I currently have a PCI-Ex16 slot empty, I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814162027 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814141066

but I really have no clue. the game doesnt have to run at Max settings. but I would love for it to run at medium/medium-high if possible.

What's the specs on the rest of the PC?Do you care if the card is ATI?
