I'll tell you something though, truth be told by far the MOST ATTRACTIVE women for me anyway...

Are those with the best personalities. I look through this thread, I only see pictures of women. I don't think "Man, I wish I could have my way with her" because I honestly have no idea what they're like. There's no basis for attraction. I don't care if the girl has the most perfectly crafted figure in the history of time, if she doesn't have that key personality then how could you even think of being attracted to a woman, you know?

No picture can ever capture that aspect of a woman.

Except that GENERALLY speaking, ugly women have ugly personalities. You can claim that it's from years of abuse for being ugly, but they still have it. A beautiful person is FAR more likely to have a beautiful personality because they haven't been beaten down by life... yet.

I find this to be true a lot of the time (mostly if the girl is not only ugly but tomboyish), but the opposite is also true. A lot of good looking women have, ahem, "daddy issues" and take it out on other men.

One thing I've come to conclude is that good looks actually matter very little to men. WAIT! Hear me out. Usually when I'm with my buddies we like to check out the ladies. If she isn't extremely overweight, doesn't seem to be ridden with disease (like snooky), doesn't have a manly face, and doesn't dress like a mason, she's "hot".
Over 90% of the young women that pass fit the "she's hot" bill. If she's wearing a skirt it's 99%.
And it's not just because we're engineers with a lack of women in our lives, I have friends that hang around lots of women and it's always the same. The standard for "she's hot" is much lower than women probably think.
Not to mention most men have a "neighbor girl" fantasy. They'd rather be with a girl they're close friends with for a long time than some super hot babe.

EDIT: My cousin's last girlfriend was manlier than me and had a super small neck, and we're talking of a guy that once got an offer for a modelling contract. He doesn't have a lack of choice, he just doesn't care that much about looks (like most other men I know).

They're also FAR more likely to be snooty, high maintenance, stuck up little pampered bitches that are utterly full of themselves. Less attractive women can have this personality as well (especially if they have a particularly healthy chest), but the pretty girls have it much more often.

A pretty woman, that is, a woman who is considered attractive, is what I'm referring to (I thought I deleted "high maintenance," as that conjures up a whole different mental picture than "attractive"... but it seems I forgot to). As I alluded to, any woman is capable of becoming a pompous, self obsessed bitch. But I've found that those who are attractive (not Kardashian-like, high maintenance "hot"... simply attractive), are more likely to have a sour, unpleasant personality than not.

Now I'm not saying pretty women with kind and affectionate personalities don't exist. I've known women like that, as well as high maintenance types who were quite friendly and sweet-natured. But more often than not, I've seen women who would generally be considered attractive by a fair number of people, have caustic, acerbic personalities that revealed them to be spoiled, snotty little shits due to what their looks afforded them... lots of attention, and getting their way with people. Not that such a finding is surprising, given the kind of emphasis this country puts on needing to be pretty (and thin), to the point of beating it over womens' heads on a nearly daily basis.

Totally agree. I also agree that what is "hot" is a lot lower than many women think. Shoot, quite a few of the pics here labeled "butter faces" by some were actually rather attractive. I also agree that "smoking hot" is to be avoided at all costs... those women often have entitlement issues, among other things.
