Teeth are one thing that get noticed about a person. It just bothers some people to see an otherwise attractive person smile and show off some jacked up teeth. Especially when they have plenty of money to get them fixed and know that they will be in the public eye. Example: Christina Perri, watch her Jar of Hearts video.

to me, personally, there are a multitude of quite lovely aspects about most Asian women
that rather adroitly attract my full/undivided attention, long before any element of their possible/likely set of imperfect teeth ever does,
but i suppose everyone has their fetish, and, for most westerners, -Americans, at least-
it seems to be a precisely perfect set of choppers, above and beyond all else.
so i guess everyone's different, as they are quite entitled to be,
and each has his or her own personal set of priorities in life, so, oh well, anyway;

I agree - Americans are WAY too focused on straight, white, regular teeth. I got teased over my teeth all the way through to college as my folks couldn't afford to have them dealt with. It's perhaps the biggest thing Americans use in stereotypes against Asian and European (especially English) peoples.

So having dealt with the issue from the other side, I LIKE big irregular teeth! It shows character to me since only vain, spoiled, ignorant losers ever had "perfect" teeth as far as I was concerned. Having good teeth was an immediate turn-off to me - I had friends with perfect teeth, but they had to WORK for that friendship. The teeth was a detractor, not a benefit.

I went to an orthodontist once to consider getting my teeth fixed. They wanted to break my jaw and wire it shut for three months, then put me in braces for years. Oh, and they wanted something around $8000 for that ass kicking. I said no thank you. In the long run my constantly inquisitive nature turns people off to me a lot faster than my looks. I know some people who look like a sun dried leather strap, but everybody loves them because they never question anything.

Besides, in martial arts it helped that I had fangs.

I have veneers now and when I see pics of my teeth before I got them done I realize how much character my smile and face had. They weren't all jacked up or anything but were far from perfect. I wouldn't have done it but I have a dentist in the family.

phrasing that as "Westerners" has nothing to do with coming off as some manner of "Pretentious Douche"
but, in actuality, everything to do with phrasing in a degree of SPECIFICITY.

i could have just as easily have been overly specific, (and, quite possibly, even more accurate) and had phrased that as "Americans"
rather than "Westerners" and had had some of you fellow members start to pound me straight onto the Red, White and Blue Cross
as some sort of "WEEABOO/WANNABE JAP/TREASONOUS TRAITOR TO MY NATIVE COUNTRY/ETC."

instead, i attempted to be diplomatic, -while being fairly and generally accurate overall, all things considered-
and proclaim, generally speaking, that on the mean average, WESTERNERS generally do not care much
for ASIANS. much more specifically, WESTERN Males generally do not care much for ASIAN Females.

there ARE, of course, "Native Born Westerner/American" exceptions to that rule, such as myself, for example.
regardless, those of my type, while very much in existence, are indeed QUITE uncommon, on the average,
within the U.S. territories, at the very bare minimum least.


all that rather lengthy preaching all said and done, i am just one more member here, contributing what i personally feel
are reasonably attractive Asian females, to this "Post Your Babe Pics!" thread.

everyone's different, and has different personal tastes.
it takes all kinds to make a world, and i really fail to see where i am being so unreasonable here...
