It is my belief, anyone naming a Sega forum, Segaage is a moron, there's a differamce with Atari, Atari had to leave because they couldn't make the switch to console gaming, so everything they had was basically designed for the Arcade, and just ported to their console, so the lost for a legit, and respectable reason.
Where Sega had to leave, because their marketing was so horrendous, It's not funny(popping out systems left, and right, not supporting half of them, exc).
Needless to say, I doubt many Sega fans will like to be reminded about such things, every time they go to a forum(and see Seagaage on a big banner at the top of the forum).
PS. Trust me, that forum wont last long lol.
hopefully segaage will actract new members, like TheEdge, 17daysolderthannes, honey the cat. with quality memembers like thouse the site is bound to be a sucess.

If you guys didn't know, there's already a (somewhat) competing Sega forum: http://forum.sega16bit.com/
There's also the corresponding Sega8bit too. (opposed to SMSpower)
Segaage has been sitting idle for a good while though. I highly doubt it would be anything liek Atariage (which is a good bit more like Sega-16 IMO), Nintendoage seems a bit more average though. (at least more reasonable than a lot of other nintendo sites -namely ones filled with fanboys and such) They'd need some good, dedicated membets and organizers for the site, not to mention time. (but again it doesn't have an open niche to fill other than being more inclusive of other sega consoles with specific forums as on atariage -and there's a ton of SMS/Saturn/DC discussions on sega-16 already in spite of no dedicated forums)
I was going to make a detailed agrument but instead I opt for:
Oh that, and Zoltor has no understanding of factual video game and computer history and seems to not only buy into vague generalizations and misinformation, but also spout it himself.(that applies both to Atari and Sega... and Nintendo)
That and he never even elaborated on why "segaage" would be a problematic name in general. (the assumption would be that it would be rather like Sega-16 but possibly a bit broader -at least in the aim, not that it would necessarily work)
I don't understand it. It's as if he's having a brain fart in all directions of deduction. Balling all his thoughts together into one clusterfuck of an opinion that says nothing to justify it's own argument or point. All he's accomplishing by mentioning anything is getting us to acknowledge that he posted something and nothing else.
As for the topic at hand & the betterment of his initial argument (attempting to clear up why Segaage might be a bad idea) I say the only bad thing about it is the name, and how it might possibly lead to litigation from the 'Sega Ages' brand itself, which is unlikely at best. Other than that though, more fan sites aren't bad for anybody.
What kind of cynical world are we living in that a guy's got to have a point to everything he says? Sheesh! Does "post count" mean nothing to you people???
