    Puyo Rampart

Today, many console gamers enjoy the tower defense genre of games. All types of releases have cropped up on the Sony PSP, the Nintendo DS, and both the Xbox 360 and PS3. The genre wasn't so well known back in 1990, when Atari games released Rampart in the arcades. Featuring play for up to three people simultaneously, it was ported to every console known to man, including the Genesis. Handled by Tengen, the 16-bit version is actually pretty darn good. It's just not the same without a trackball.

I've never played the arcade game but I used to own this during the first book of Genesis days. It's just not the same playing the one player version. Almost too short of a game.
