Megadrive MEGA 3-X Firecore Console w/SD Slot released!

Hello. I just bought the MEGA 3-X Firecore Console form AtGames.
    The package contains:

    The console
    Two 6 button Joypads
    One A/V Cable (mono)
    One 220v power connector
    One User manual

The console has built in 10 new 2009 16bit games
And about 100 8bit games wich graphics are poor. Well they are 8bit!
And an SD slot on the back, A/V on the back and power.
On the front, there are the 2 joypad controls.
On the upper, there are the Power and the Reset/Menu button.

    16bit built in games are:
    ----------------------
    Corss the road (Frogger clone)
    Jack's Pea
    Jewel Magic (Jewel master clone)
    Curling 2010
    Fish Story
    Plumbing Contest
    Maze 2010
    Wall Breaking (Tank clone)
    Snowboarding
Break the Fireline (Space Invaders clone)

I tried a micro SD adaptor with a 1Gb micro SD card including a few roms, and it worked fine.

I will then try my SD 2GB card full with ROMS form my Gopher Firecore unit.

When playing the ROMS I notice that the graphics are a bit inferior quality from those in a real Sega Genesis/Megadrive console; but since this does not include full Sega Genesis/Megadrive hardware inside, that is acceptable, and it's a plus you can have all Sega ROMS in an SD card, wich is the idea of this console, besides all the built-in games.

Wow... this contraption is actually really neat sounding. The idea of every Genesis game at your hands in one handy package!

I wonder if the sound is still all screwy, like most AtGames hardware tends to be... what more can you tell us? Does it support game saves?

    Incorrect.

No disrespect intended to anyone, but - I truly wish more members of the retrogaming populace would stop condoning CHEAP SHIT HARDWARE. "I got totally rooked, but it's OK," is NOT an acceptable response. You are just helping these thieves continue taking advantage of gamers all over the world.

    Or, in simpler terms:

AtGames turned me off after I bought (and sold) my GenMobile. Just was not very impressed at all. Still somewhat of a novel little console there though.

I don't get it, if you're going to download roms and play on an emulator, why bother buying hardware to do that? You'd be better off getting a USB controller like this: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Sega-Saturn-Contr...item4153dedbed

Well the emulation on the computer would look and sound better than this does but with this you can play on a larger screen with less trouble.

Assholes, they give you all games at your fingertips, only they look and sound like shit. Play like shit too if you use their controllers. I wonder if the sd reader technology of this system could be removed and used on a regular genesis either as a mod if the device needs power or if it could be put into a cart form and used as a flash cart.

    Megadrive

It is missing the same as in Gopher: Saves and Screenshots, or at least nobody seems to know about that.
AtGames website sucks, totally lack of information 100%, and they are not responding to my emails.

I do not know if 8bit games are new or old, at least I have not seen these games in any other console I know. I can tell they are inferior quality than those form the NES console but graphics are mote better than in the Atari 2600/2800. I do not know MasterSystem very well. I will see if the game names correspond to games from MasterSystem.
I will also compare the sound of a rom and the same game in the original cartridge playing in in my Sega Genesis.
It has no cartridge slot. And I consider I have spent enough money to Sega, I own about 70 Sega cartridges, and it's time to get games I like for free, as roms!

The games are NES games, but new original NES games. They're the same as in AtGames Firecore based Wii clone "Super Arcade Interactive" I assume, and extremely amateurish in comparison to the original NES games from the 80s, but still better than "Action 52".

I'm thinking of buying one and then setting it on fire, and then putting it out by peeing on it.

And then I'll post the clip on youtube.

Hilarious how AtGames is trying to get customers by pretending to be a newbie though.

And about 100 8bit games wich graphics are poor. Well they are 8bit!
8 bit games aren't necessarily poor, atgames crap however is.

I should totally buy one and record myself lighting it on fire and peeing on it.

I'd be first to watch that. AtGames' shit should rot in hell.

Or we could have a massive Sega-16 get together complete with a bonfire. A bonfire that's fueled by AtGames shitty hardware topped off with the sweet smell of their cheap plastic shells and innards burning.

As Cornholio says: "Fire! Fire! Fire!"

could you list a few of the 8-bit games' titles? i'm kind of interested to know if AtGames actually developed 100 new 8-bit games for this thing, or if they just bought in a bunch of the same generic stuff from Jungletac or Waixing or whoever that you find on every other cheap Chinese console.
