    Default Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel

A game that manages to offend in gameplay as much as it does in premise doesn't come along often, but somehow Sunsoft pulled it off. Still, people have a thing for small mammals, and there's actually some meat on this platformer's bones if you're willing to stick around long enough to find it. Our full review tells all.

    Sega and Konami are girls?

Also, are those shots from the Genesis version? I'm counting an awful lot of colors on some of the screens.

Yep, all those shots are from the Genny version. I took them myself.

Too much baditude. Something that extreme and in your face has to be inappropriate for kids.

There were a number of environmental theme games released around this time as I recall. What a dumb premise to force a game to be designed around. If he's such a bad guy, then he should want to aid in the world's destruction, no?

Thankfully, well for someone like me... this game in general is pretty rare so I will probally never run into in the wild.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

Awesome Possum and Global Gladiators come to mind.

I had this growing up. I was a HUGE sucker for mascot games as a child.

There's also Ecco, P.O.W., Panic on Funkatron, and I'm sure a few others I'm forgetting. I recall Sega running a "create a game around an environmental theme" contest that some girl won. It was mentioned in Sega Visions, but I have no idea what became of the game (if anything at all).

I still think this is pretty good. The level design could've been alot better, and the boss fights & ost are kinda boring, but the rest is definitely above average.
