Whoa Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors

In 2006, Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors for Sega CD was finally leaked for public consumption. The much-hyped title only took eleven long years to arrive, having been shelved after publisher Absolute Entertainment went belly up. Despite never seeing a true retail release, it was completely finished (which is why we're reviewing it) and so begs the question: is it any good? Well, there's actually more to it than the (in)famous "Bus Ride" segment, and you'll just have to read our full review to find out!

Haha, this game is legendary. At the local game store we tried one month to beat Desert Bus on a modded Xbox with emulators, and even while speeding up the emulator, the game still takes too long.

I remember it being leaked at least over 2 years ago, not just last year. Am I remembering wrong?

I think the leak occured even earlier, I found a blog post dating more than four years back that had mentioned the leaked image (including a download link)...

Lol, yeah it was 2006. No idea why I thought it was last year.

Is this game actually playable? I was reading somewhere that this thing is basically an 8 hour, real time drive through a desert with minimal scenery, and then if you're insane enough to actually do that, you don't get anything at th end. That true?

Desert Bus was originally going to be a competition. The winners would go on an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas on a hired bus.

You get a single point every time you make the complete journey.

Woah, a review of an unreleased game.

Makes you wonder if this has been done as an exception or if it's rather going to start a new trend of reviews in Sega-16.
