Where to find Sega "Classic" 6 button pad - NOT made by Majesco

    Just like the title says.

Anyone know where to look? All I can find are the crappy Majesco gamepads on ebay and the like.

    Thanks in advance!

Try thrift stores. Also used game shops if you have any.

IMO the Majesco pads aren't *that* bad - it seems like you can barely tell the difference, and when you can get them by the crateload for cheap it's not a big deal.

    Try the European ebays.
Majesco´s Genesis 3 was never released in Europe, so chances are good to find a pad there.

My biggest gripe with them has to be the dpad. It feels like its floating above the contacts and has to be held down before pressing any direction to register moves.

That and I can't keep them from breaking. Broke my 2nd one from after a long session of adventures of batman and robin... 1st one from after finishing ghouls n' ghosts.

Come to think of it... could've been the game that broke my gamepad

Where I live, I've never seen one majesco pad, just look at the thrift stores. Where I live, there is a Mega Media Xchange, if there is noen near you, they might have one.
If the Genesis was the next level, what was the 32X?
    The bonus level?

I think there are a few at the local pawn shop. I might pick one or two more up. I did see a funny looking Sega Six button pad that did not have the mode button on the side, and it had an offical sega part number.

It still might be there... I even got two offical wireless pads there.

Are the Sega 6-button pads really good?
Back in the days I always heard they were crap, so I sticked to third party pads...

I'll let you know when I get mine. I've only used third party ones until now (well, majesco doesnt really count as third party i suppose). I've heard wonderful things about them however
