From what I've seen about this game, there are a lot of flaws. This would be a perfect game for the SFT to fix.
BTW is there not an english rom already available?

Trust me. When you play the Super Fighter Team game you will be glad he didn't release the proto.
I was SFT's programmer for Star Odyssey and got to see the prototype ROM as a reference. It was horrifying and shameful that they sent that to a magazine for review.
The game crashed after several hours; there were sprites walking around that you couldn't speak to; the entire game was written using a hideous font; descriptions for most of the items and magic types made no sense ...
In fact, the entire script was nothing but Engrish trash. I would have blamed it on a machine translator, but this prototype dated back to 1990. It was impossible to figure out what the game was even about.
I also designed the packaging and handled cleaning up the scans of the original Japanese art. I was kind of surprised to see it used as an advertisement because the "book ends" look a bit out of place in the middle
I really hope you like the game when it comes out. We worked really hard on making it better than the Japanese original – especially since this is SFT's first contract out of Japan.

I'd love it if they had kept the original title, Blue Almanac.

I'm really looking forward to this.
Can you explain why the classic black grid design which was used for Beggar Prince and Legend of Wukong is dropped for this game? And why there aren't logos or even actual names of the console it plays on, on the packaging?
Also, thank your for your efforts. Kinda like how Beggar Prince was special as it felt like a new game, this one may give me the same feeling since it's the first localization of a Japanese game. It's kinda hard to explain, but a retro game fan should get what I mean.
Buy stuff at the Magical Game Factory, WaterMelon's crowd funding video game development site!
Do YOU have any games you want to get rid of that haven't been reviewed on the site and needs to be beaten for the sake of this project? Send 'em to me and I'll review and beat them! I'll pay for shipping of course. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
Hello, everyone, and thanks for the well-wishing. All of us at Super Fighter Team appreciate your continued interest in and support of our game products.
All of these questions (and many more) will be answered quite soon - but for the moment, my prime concern is getting our new company website finished and operational. Please bear with me a while longer...

This is amazing news, great work Brandon. Looks forward to hearing more information.
We should have most, if not all of your questions veeerrrrryy soon.![]()
Yeah I could see why the logos would be dropped, but it would be cool if the black grid design made a comeback.
Looking forward to seeing how this develops. Please reduce the number of random encounters! Beggar Prince and Wukong were bad enough in this regard.
See what I did there? I mentioned the flaw before the project was finished so I can complain about it when it comes out! But it is nice to see a non-pirate game coming out. Too bad the opening SEGA logo will need to be dropped.![]()
