    Default Is it worth it?

Is it worth buying a Sega CD? One of my friends says yes but then all the rest (that have played it) said no. So i'm kinda so-so on if i should hunt/buy one.

    Indeed how does it feel?

well, it had a few good things: ability to play CD's, SOnic CD, shing force CD, that lunar game thing, and um, ITS SEGA! BUY IT NOW! GO SEGA! Oh, and stero sound, I think.
If the Genesis was the next level, what was the 32X?
    The bonus level?

I'd say try emulating the games you're interested in trying, before going for the hardware. Then you can judge for yourself whether it's worth it.

    It is.

Sega CD is the neatest of the sega consoles I think. Very very cool games, lots of nice RPG's and shooters!

I love my model 2. There are plenty of exclusives and once you look past the FMV games (not all of which suck, either), there are some great games. I'd say it's a no-brainer if you own a Genesis.

CD is a great add on, and there are some cool games: Sonic CD, Popful Mail, as well as unique games such as Sherlock Holmes and othe full motion video games. I have a CDX which is a combo of Genesis and Sega CD. If you dont already have a Genesis, you might want to think about a CDX (although they can be pricy, but you can get lucky on eBay, I got one for 60).

I agree with the posters above, emulate some games, read up on whats out there for Sega CD and ask yourself.....how many of these games would I play?
