Default Street Fighter 2 Popularity Contest

Pretty straightforward. Of the 8 classic Street Fighter 2 meisters of pain, who's your prime pick? Be it who you are best with, your personal favourite, or simply a filthy lie to bungle the rankings and falsely crown Zangief as king, hurl that vote into this pointless abyss. I hate to exclude Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M. Bison, but apparantly twelve is too many poll options. So yeah.. thus the 'classique' selection of 8. Feel free to select choice 9 to voice your great rage.

While I could take the easy way out and vote Ken, who I am substantially better with than any other of these Fight Streeters, Dhalsim was my very first Street Fighter 2 dude of choice. Bless those magical limbs of human opponent infuriation. Oh ho ho.. that Dhalsim.. hoowee.

Oooh, tough choice. I always liked Ken/Ryu, but I'm also a big fan of Blanka. I'm not exactly sure which one to choose...

I voted Ken, since he's not only my namesake, but the only character I don't utterly suck with. :P

I guess Dhalsim. But I'm really more of a Super SF2, T.Hawk kind of guy.

Ryu is my favorite since I can do his moves easily and that head band looks cool.

I've always liked Guile, but not being a computer opponent with the ability to warp space and time makes me choosing Guile an unwise pick. I mean, c'mon.. rapid-fire sonic booms while moving forward? Satanic machine!

It's Ken these days, but back in the day it used to Guile big time. Nowadays I'm all about explosive offense, but back then I was that frustrating defensive player that made you waste a quarter against my sonic booms and sommersault kicks. Man did the original Street Fighter II ever put a number on me. I bought a SNES just for the sole purpose of playing the home version of SFII when it first came out. Even then my friends thought i was nuts about the game. I was still playing that very same cart well into 1997! I just got SF collection (Xbox) just so that I can play SFIII: 3rd Strike on my Xbox since I don't play the DC version as much anymore. I'm an addict.

Ryu is the true master. Ken is a hot dogger.

I'm pissed off about the arcade stick for the SF Collection. The stick is just a mess, and though I can play decently on SFIII -- supposedly one of the most complex games in the series -- with it, I can't do anything on Hyper SFII. Go figure.

As weird as this may sound I don't enjoy using arcade sticks and do a ton better with a control pad. I've beaten guys supposedly really good at SF, with a d-pad, while they used a stick. It just feels alot more natural to me to pull off moves using my thumbs and I can string combos together alot faster and more often with a pad. I know it's blasphemy in fighter circles to say as much but I'd rather have a Saturn pad instead of an arcade perfect stick. Anytime I play at the arcades I can hold my own pretty well but it takes alot of work to do so and my arms are too tensed up afterwards. :/

I like actual arcade sticks (like, in arcade machines), but I can't get good at using home sticks. Not for fighters anyway... maybe for shooters and some other games.
