You can still occasionally find brand new MK-1470's, the officially licensed ones Majesco produced. I don't like them as much as the MK-1653 though.

i bought some replacements for the snes - same deal.....MINISCULE leads, proper stupid.....i have to sit RIGHT next to the damn machine!!

although theyre not *new*...i would suggest the honey bee competition pro pads - theyre really nice and you can pick em up fairly cheap too! i bought two (untested) on ebay for £3 delivered, one of them worked a charm...the other doesnt, but im still happy with that!!!

theres a few versions, the one below has turbos....but isnt as good as the standard one IMHO...(theres also 6 buttons with the shoulder pads - im not talking about them either)

I own one of these as well....theyre not bad

im yet to come across ANY new replacement pad for either snes or MD which is comparable in quality to the old ones.....its a shame

ill see if i can dig out a picture of one of these pads im talkin about anyways...

Thanks mate, should have searched first. I got one of those cheap knock offs the orignator posted about that looks legit in pics but has a blue start button.

Yeppers! I got one of those, and it's a life saver on a number of games. I NEVER got past certain bosses on EWJ until I got that controller and used the shoulder buttons.

The 6-pads that come packaged with superclones deserve better credit than they have =P Mainly because they try to gimmick the original 6-pad down to the tiny details (save removal of the Sega logo). The downside is that you would need to buy a console to get them...

They also go by ProPad 6 if you can't find the ProPad 2. They can be had for around 5-7 on auction. Great controller!

I have an original 6 button sega controller from late 95 that my brother bought for his first genesis. It rocks the casba. All the 3 button pads I have, have at least one "deadish" button and generally feel sloppy. I can't seem to find any of those rubber refurb kits in stock anymore. I have taken them appart and cleaned the contacts but the rubber is really lost alot of its elasticity.

Last week I bought 2 noname chinese knockoff 6 button controllers off ebay. I guess I should have known better. These things look tiny and cheap. The action on them isn't as bad as what I thought it would be. The biggest issue is that they come with a tiny 2 1/2 foot cable. Anyways, is there any company that makes a new pad that's comparable to the old sega 6 button pad?
