Dragon's Fury is a castrated, fucked-up version of Devil Crash MD; not only were some of the graphics censored and changed, but there's a glitch at the bottom left wall of the table that lets your ball go down the drain instead of kicking it to the right like it should.

Devil Crash MD is the best of all IMO too.

Nah, TurboGrafx version is still the best simply due to the better sounding music. TechnoSoft used their worst sound engine for this game.

There's a song on the TurboGrafx version that's a million times better than the genesis version. Other songs are a lot closer in quality (even bad technosoft sounds great), but I'd still give the edge to the TG-16.

The poor PC Engine soundchip was so underused it's sad. Most of the games that have great WSG instruments have poor drums, like City Hunter, Magical Chase, Legend of Xanadu or Blood Gear.

All bonus levels are vastly improved on the Mega Drive, vastly. The sprites are much more detailed and I like that.

The sound difference is not so huge IMO, but it maybe a matter of taste. I just can't stand PSG-based stuff most of the time, so it certainly affects my opinion.

I'm also not too fond of how TG16 version sounds. Some sound effect afre nicer but that's it, music definitely not.

The background looks more derpy on the Genesis, too contrasty... kind of like if someone took a picture of the game screen into Photoshop or whatever and turned the sharpness up ALL THE WAY. Also, it was squished. The bonus stages are all MUCH better on the Genesis, music included. The main theme on the TG-16 is simply the best, though. If they had used Thunder Force 2 or Herzog Zwei's sound engine it would have been awesome. Those are the TechnoSoft engines that can actually produce bass in instruments other than the drums. Elemetal Master's sound engine was awesome as well.

1st Song : On Par (I'd give a slight edge to the PCE)
2nd Song : Genesis (The FM gives a fuller sound)
3rd Song : PCE (The Genesis version sounds better but sounds much less powerful)
4th Song : On Par (I'd give a slight edge to the Genesis)
5th Song : PCE by a HUGE MARGIN, it's a million times better than the Genesis version which sounds like crap.
6th Song : PCE (The genesis version sounds weak)
    7th Song : Genesis

Kamahl, IDK about the PCE side of things and also IDK from what models/emulators this recordings were made but the MD part sounds muffled and not so well equalized when compared to my VA6 Japanese MD model 1. I was listening to both, part by part (like 10-20 seconds), pausing and changing the headphones to the other device... My MD sounds clearer all the time and some parts like @5:55-7:10 sounds really muffled on that recording when compared to my MD. Were they using a model 2 or maybe Kega Fusion?

Well, still, I can tell you that I prefer the MD version mostly for the much better stereo sensation and clearer instruments. PCE version sounds noisy, which is common for the console but I really don't like that.
The leads sound much better on the MD IMO.

The recording was done with real hardware afaik, dunno which models.

The MD certainly sounds clearer, but my big problem with the MD soundtrack is that a lot of songs lose all their "power". The PCE versions are a lot more heavy and pumping. The MD versions are more melodic and weak.
Reminds me a bit of the Lords of Thunder PCE vs SCD case. The PCE rendition of the soundtrack is a lot more noisy, but hits much harder. For a kickass metal soundtrack that's what you want.

I disagree. The PCE version sound weak for me. The noisy is really loud. For me it's like a stereo Master System against the MD, it's really hard to even try to compare.
The Lords of Thunder is another discussion, but the Sega CD version mixing quality is light-years better than the PCE CD version.

Metal is supposed to be noisy (-_- )_\m/

    Here's some more metal:

    Stereo Master System my ass!

This is what a master system sounds like at it's best:
