    Sweat Chase H.Q. II

Chasing down bad guys is a video game staple. Ramming their cars into flaming husks before taking them down and slapping the cuffs on them makes it even more fun! Taito let Genesis owners play the long arm of the law in the exclusive Chase H.Q. II, and while it might not set the world on fire, it's a game that's worth spending some time with. Read our full review and take out those crooks!

I managed to buy this game (Chase H.Q. II - the genesis cart) but I can't seem to find any differences when playing in an overclocked system.

Does this also happen with the Super H.Q. version or this game has the same kind of frame limitation as OutRun?

In the case of Super H.Q./Chase H.Q. II what the overclock mod does is to remove the heavy slowdown which occurs when you're trying to wreck the enemies' cars.
When they start to show the flame animation, the frame rate goes really low if you're running it on a stock system.

OTOH, yes, I think it's capped at 20 fps so you won't see differences right when you start the race and/or have no cars in front of you. It's when the things get hectic that you'll notice the difference.

Thanks Barone, I will have to take a closer look just to check that.

Great game. On of the best racers on the genesis. I would like some guns to take out the bad guys.

    You kiddin' right?

It's overall an ok game which could have easily been WAY better if the dev. weren't only half-cared about it.

& there are a lot of way better racers on Mega Drive alone & even more when also talking about the Mega-CD & 32X.
