Uploaded the new version of the banner.
It looks great!
Diabetes sucks!
Dang Coop you're making some ridiculously good looking banners.
I was hoping that would help. It looks like the colors don't match the background color for the menu box for some reason. There is a slight line to the top right of the banner that shouldn't be there. Is there a slight gradient to a darker color in the background there? Firebug isn't showing me the full style sheet.
Damn this is too many nice banners. I'm overstimulated.

Perhaps for the the banner can alternate between a few. Whenever the striped one shows it has an animated striped box era sprite and a bunch of other striped era sprites in it, same goes for the grid era.
Or it can cycle through characters from 1989 - 1995 with the appropriate background. Just make sure to give some Sega CD games screen time.
Kinda like this for the striped era but made with you guy's pro skills.

It does. Other sites using vBulletin do it, so it's more of a thing with how easily it's implemented, as opposed to it being able to be done.
And thanks for the compliments, guys. If Melf can figure it out and get it working, I have several more ideas in mind with Vectorman, Ristar, Alex Kidd, Opa Opa, and a few others that were requested.
Currently Reviewing: Steel Talons
Coming Up:TF3 Side by Side, Gods
Done: RDF Global Conflict
If it allows scripts I have a free one that is very light on the resources that will cycle with each new page load. I used to use it before I switched to a dynamic database driven web site design.
It has been a while, but it should only require the following to be placed within the header block or in the admin section appropriately:
<TABLE align="top-left">
<TR>
<TD align="top-left"> <SCRIPT language="Javascript"><!--
function image() { };
image = new image();
number = 0;
// imageArray
image[number++] = "<img src='correct image link here' border='0' width='773' height='67'>"
image[number++] = "<img src='correct image link here' border='0' width='773' height='67'>"
image[number++] = "add more images until you die"
increment = Math.floor(Math.random() * number); document.write(image[increment]);
//-->
</SCRIPT> <P align="top-left"> </TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>

New banner looks great. Maybe it ends a bit abruptly though. Could be even longer or have it's background fade into the other one.
Buy stuff at the Magical Game Factory, WaterMelon's crowd funding video game development site!
Do YOU have any games you want to get rid of that haven't been reviewed on the site and needs to be beaten for the sake of this project? Send 'em to me and I'll review and beat them! I'll pay for shipping of course. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
Coop, I request a sprite of Garfield (from Garfield: Caught in the Act) looking around or something. Maybe doing that dance thing he does too.
Also, Sheath's multi-character banner looks epic up on top! Very awesome indeed, though perhaps it's a little... Umm, cluttered, for lack of a better word. Maybe my resolution is a bit too big, but it's a bit hard to see some of the characters.
I love the new banner! Who made it?
Hate to break it to you, but The Coop already suggested that early on in this thread. It is still an excellent idea though. Thanks for keeping it alive Flacko.
