Default Interesting Web of Fire ebay listing

There is a clam-shelled case for spiderman web of fire in this listing. I'm pretty sure someone cut up the cardboard box and put it in the case. The part that is interesting is that on the side view of the edge of the box there is a small picture of spiderman (4th picture) that my copy does not have. Does anyone have a copy that matches the one being sold?

Looks like someone took djshok's work and is trying to make a buck off it. The insert looks just like the one on The Cover Project

Yep that's definitely the cover I made. It's nice to see people making use of it It would be nice if he specified that it's not the original cover, though to be fair he should also specify that the Spider-Man game isn't actually included in there. Hopefully that's a 32x clamshell otherwise it's gonna be a tight fit to put 32x cart in there.

I emailed the seller asking him if it's the official case or a reproduction, let's see what he says...

I'll wait for him to reply first. It could just be a careless mistake. That listing is pretty badly written and sketchy on details, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Man people are shady... he has obviously already tricked some suckers as After Burner and Thunder Blade are more or less worthless and the auction is already at $20. And as already noted, Web of Fire never came in a clam shell case.

The seller says, "The artwork is perfect."

Well fucking duh. He probably printed it outright before taking those pictures.

Wasn't the game released in a paper box? Only a few Acclaim games were ever released in a proper clamshell as far as I know.

The following 32X games had plastic clamshell boxes:

    WWF Raw
    WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game
    NBA Jam: Tournament Edition
    NFL Quarterback Club

Every other 32X game was in a cardboard box, except for Fahrenheit which was in a Sega CD jew case.

My selling thread, a loose Suikoden II, lots of PS1 stuff, a sealed Primal Rage 32X, a CIB SMS system and more!

Well I got a reply back from the seller. He's honest and seems a like a decent fellow.

Yes all the Sega 32x games came in the crappy paper boxes except 3. The plastic case is an actual sega 32x case. The artwork is perfect although not an original print. But the art is literally indistinguishable from what would have been in retail. I put this up for sale because I am a collector myself and I know how difficult it is to piece some of these games together. Also I know that there are alot of sellers who heavily overprice these games (See the other complete spiderman 32x auction running, for proof) so the people who truly want them cant afford them. Going even further, I personally wish that sega used the clamshell boxes and didnt switch to the crappy paper ones because they always fold and break no matter how good of care is given to them. I personally use these in my own collection and stopped chasing the expensive ripped paper boxes that vendors keep pumping up the prices for. Thanks for asking and I hope this makes it easier for others to collect.
Can't say I disagree with him. Also it's great that he's using an actual 32x clamshell.

We had a thread here almost a year ago where the OP named the Thread "Sega CD Jew Case" by mistake. Needless to say, some of the best laughs I've got here.

The brazilian editions of most 32x games were all released in clamshell boxes only. The copy of Star Wars Arcade that I bought sealed was in one of these.
