    Default Recording from a DVR

    Off Topic is Active

    I have some Special's/Show's on my DVR I want to transfer to DVD..

    I have DirecTV DVR with 2 USB Ports..

    Can I Copy from the USB if I have like a Pen Drive?? like a Show I recoreded & watch it on my Laptop

    Maybe I go the Old School way..Copy it DVR to VHS

    I dunno if this helps much, but the store I work at (Kmart) sells Samsung DVD Recorder/VHS combo units, with S-video in. So with s-video in, you can get pretty good quality recordings onto DVD-R's, especially if you plan on archiving. Sure, it won't be professional quality, but it's much better than DVR to VHS.

    This is one I've been eying myself, actually. It has s-video in, and HDMI out, so this will help you preserve your recordings in good quality. Just be sure your DVR has s-video out first, if this is how you wanna go about it. But there's probably others here that know better ways
