One of my best friends is a gamer girl. She'll play anything at least once and loves Bomberman and will kick anyone's ass at it. And she's a sucker for the Final Fantasy games no matter how much more terrible each successive one becomes. She thinks she's the biggest FF fan out there and was really pissed when I bought a complete copy of FF for the MSX2 (ie FF holy grail) right after I called her to show her the auction. She also loves anime. That's pretty much all her and I do together is play games, watch anime and rent foreign flicks. Oh, and the kicker is that she absolutely loves to watch other people play single player games. But she doesn't want to be in any sort of relationship with anyone. What a waste.

Actually, I rather have a girlfriend who doesn't like video games, but likes her own random thing (the girlier, the better). That's my case and I'm keeping it that way. I love the fact that she likes her things and she loves the fact that I like my things. My life. Her Life. Our Life. It's more dynamic this way.


in other words. All you need is to find real love. Anyone who bashes your hobbies like that doesn't deserve to be with you, or vice versa.

My wife actually grew up with a Genesis in her home and she loves Sonic games. She's in med school now so she doesn't have much time for gaming, but she can handle herself pretty well on old platformers.
