Question Should I get a Sega menacer?

like the super scope on the snes, I'm curious if the sega M. is worth getting?

other than the Terminator, are there any good or hidden gems for it?

I ask cause this thing is kinda of pricy and I don't wanna feel like I wasted good money for nothing.

I would only bother if you found it for very cheap.

You can count all of the good games for it on half a hand.

Actually the two Lethal Enforcers games are the only two Justifier games that will not work with a Menacer (the two guns communicate with the game in different ways, so it's up to the programmers to choose which to support or both). If you don't care about those two and you don't care about the few Mega CD and Mega Drive games that don't work with the Justifier (Body Count, Corpse Killer, Crime Patrol, the Menacer 6-in-1 Cartridge, and T2: The Arcade Game), go with the Justifier last time I checked, the Menacer had timing-related accuracy problems.

Or how about a convenient table?
    Code:
    GAME SYSTEM MENACER? JUSTIFIER?
    Body Count MD Yes No
Corpse Killer MCD, MCD32X Yes No
    Crime Patrol MCD Yes No
Lethal Enforcers MD, MCD No Yes
Lethal Enforcers II MD, MCD No Yes
Mad Dog McCree MCD Yes Yes
Mad Dog McCree II MCD Yes Yes
Menacer 6-Game Cart MD Yes No
    Snatcher MCD Yes Yes
T2: The Arcade Game MD Yes No
Who Shot Johnny Rock? MCD Yes Yes

    I LOVE CORPSE KILLER!
And I totally didn't know it had Menacer support, now I need to pick one up just for that game!

    Thanks for that chart/table, andlabs!

It was a quick and simple way to compare and contrast both the Genesis' Menacer and Justifier-based support.

I recently purchased Who Shot Johhny Rock?, and already knew of the Menacer's compatibility with Corpse Killer, Snatcher, and the two Mad Dog McCree games.

Add the both 6-in 1 game and Crime Patrol, and these are all the reasons that I need to track a Menacer down!

It's a very good game, but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever."

There's a ToeJam & Earl light-gun game on the 6-game Menacer cart. 'Nough said.

Be aware that the Snatcher shooting elements are brief, easy, and consist of a 9x9 box: there's only one exceptional part where a weaker player (not you) might benefit from or need a gun of any type. Have you the mouse it'll probably work as well.

I like how the Menacer cart isn't compatible with the Justifier. It's like Sega is getting back at Konami for not making the Lethal Enforcers games work with the Menacer. "Nyah! Take that Konami!"

    Lol.

    Lol.
Which peripheral was released before? Because I doubt that Konami would have been able to use the Menacer before it was out =P
