    Default Spiral Knights

    Anyone try it yet?

I started playing it because it was published by Sega, and it's really quite fun.
It feels almost like a PSO theme, and plays quite a bit like Legend of Zelda but with parties.

Only downside is how it basically sets a time limit on how much you play per day (unless you decide to buy energy), but it's not really an 8 hour a day grindfest mmo. More of a casual play with your friends type game.
I'm that guy with Raul hair.

I love the 'time limit' aspect, even considering it's a free-to-play MMO - after a while, I started genuinely enjoying the challenge of running through the Clockworks in the limit set. Boss runs are obviously more profitable, but only if you're in a good party who can communicate - 'cause otherwise, a few trips through the first few tiers are good enough.

For those who haven't played yet, you play as a Space Knight character whose ship has crashed onto this strange planet, where the levels are pre-determined, changing and cycling in and out of reach as time goes on. All trails lead towards the centre of the planet, so obviously it's your job to gear up and see what's out there. Slay a few monsters, pick up coins and the materials they drop, and improve your gear (either by finding money to buy premade gear from the ingame auction house, or grinding up and building it yourself). You can do this solo, or with three other people.

The 'time limit' is the energy that powers the elevators that take you between levels; the gist is that you're given an allowance of 100 energy that fully regenerates every 22-ish hours, and each trip from one level to the next costs 10 energy. There's a more permanent form of energy that you can buy either with real money or in-game money, and sell for in-game money - I've put almost 50 hours into the game without spending a penny, as a nice anecdote

Everyone go download it from Steam (or the regular SK client, I suppose) and give it a go. Worst case scenario, you get a free TF2 hat and a few Steam achievements for your trouble.

[edit] also the PvP 'Totally Not Bomberman, Honest' game is pretty fun I suppose

You said PSO and it instantly made me need to at least look into this game!

Yeah nothing like PSO at all Just cause you press a button to attack instead of just click and point normal mmo fair.
