    Default Robo Aleste...what the hell?

OK, i'm not going to talk about the quality of the game(it's alright). But WHY does this not look as good as it's prequel, M.U.S.H.A.? It's on the Sega CD, and came out a number of years later. It's so....brown and boring looking. I know some are going to disagree, but every time I play this, that's the first thing that comes to mind. Then I play M.U.S.H.A. instead.

I always kind of forget about this one, and look at Spriggan as the "spiritual successor" to M.U.S.H.A..

It depends on what you mean by not as good looking. It has less parallax and more brownish colors, but that's the look they were going for. More... realistic. The sprite work is a lot better IMO.
People seem to think stuff like Gears of War is great looking and that has only 3 colors. Brown, Grey, and Brownish Grey.

This should be in "Sega CD Station" btw.

I feel the same way about Robo Aleste, I don't like the music either. I have owned it twice before it was a freaking $50 game and traded it both times. I always end up playing MUSHA instead. I never could put my finger on why, but Robo Aleste feels slower to me.

Gah, I always get the wrong forum. As for Gears Of War....i'll stick to Vanquish, thanks.

But anyway, I just think Musha Aleste is more "attractive" overall. The backgrounds look poor on Robo Aleste also. I mean, I can see that some things are technically superior, but overall, it just doesn't look very good. Spriggan was done on a lesser system, and it looks quite nice. Robo Aleste is probably marred by bad art choices. It's not as fun either.

Let me post a couple of vids, to anyone who hasn't gotten a look at these(AND TURN THE MUSHA ONE UP TO 480):

    Musha Aleste

    Robo Aleste

Obviously, Robo has more intricate backgrounds, and animations....but it just doesn't look as good, overall. Personal opinion.

You should post spriggan too, I would, but it's best if they're all in the same post.

And yes Robo Aleste doesn't look as good as MUSHA, for the same reason Gears of War looks bad, it's "realistic" aka boring.

But still, part of your original post was that you were surprised the game didn't look as good as MUSHA. It's not surprising at all. It's what happens when you try to make things look more realistic.

And that's one of the problems in today's games. We don't want them realistic and serious, we want colors and things that just don't make since but have a GREAT STORY LINE.

I can't find any Spriggan vids, that don't look blurry as hell.

One more repetitive/already discussed until exhaustion/useless/stupid/selfish/newbie/search-less troll/fail-categorized/mindf*cker's thread.

Why so hostile? This forum is meant for discussions, and that is what the TC is doing.

Nobody is asking you to post here.

Regarding Robo Aleste, It doesn't look as good as M.U.S.H.A, but the musics and story are definitely better.

Robo Aleste is a Sega CD game, not a stock Genesis game. There is a whole forum for Sega CD, why one should post it here?
Nobody needs to ask... If something is wrong, I can say that it is wrong.

Standing for such stupid threads and members just help to mess up the whole thing.

Both games are ugly. I used to believe Musha fairly good looking till I recently bothered to play past the first two or three levels, where the sprites just become too silly, rather after a Battle Mania fashion (though that game's japonaiserie lv contains its best sprites, the catlike creatures which attack from below).

So then is Robo Aleste uglier than Gleylancer? That too is one hell of a sepia toned game.

Agostinhobaroners, you have been spouting sheer wankery of late. A shame too, as amidst it all there was the truth that The Punisher is not made a decent game by nearly every other brawler on the Genesis being god awful. This goes for everything: a sane review system would have the average/mean game rated 2.
And then you post this shit.

Oh, one more of them... Some of the newcomers really suck.
Talking about Punisher here? Errrrrrr, wrong thread.
You've already got your esoteric arguments vanished on the other thread... Seems that you really like some punishment.

I think Robo Aleste's graphics makes it easier to see things coming at you. I'm always being hit by something I can't see on MUSHA.

    @agostinhobaroners
Wow dude. You're seriously going to scare off new members, with that attitude. Relax.

And yeah, I screwed up and put this in the Genesis forum, instead of the Sega CD.

I can't scare a single member, even if I wanted to.

But we have had a flood of this kind o misplacing/repetitive threads. A little research and reading before anything is a good thing.

Anyway, if you need help to find information about some game or anything related to Genesis I'd be more than happy to give you or anyone else some "help" and lots of links.
Just send me a PM, I'm always around here.
