Sega cd model 1?

This guy locally is selling some sega CDs, I went over and he had a bunch. I spotted two model 1s sitting off to the side. He said one wouldn't turn on and the other boots to screec but the tray doesnt eject. He is selling working ones for $40 what do you think I should offer him if at all for the model 1?

Well, if it has a problem, I would try talking him down on the price. I hear about lots of Model 1 Sega CD's that keep spitting the tray back out, but if the tray won't even open, it might be that something is jamming it, which could actually turn out to be a simple fix. Or, it could be worse and have gear problems.

It's hard to say if you should purchase it or not, it's your choice.
