Genesis Bare Knuckle III Director's Cut

Has anyone played this hack? It apparently restores the cut bike levels and makes the secret characters a little more playable by giving them extra moves. I haven't had much time to play it yet, but seems like a cool idea.

    Thoughts?

It's great, but has some bugs yet... The hacker gave up 'cause, according to him, BKIII/SORIII is a mess for hacking purposes. Every time he corrected a bug, another appeared... VDP-related stuff seems to be very complicated in this game.
One bug is when you're playing as Shiva and use his special, it causes garbage in the 2nd player graphics...
There are some situations where it freezes... I don't know.
But most of the time it's just great.

Well I've played it all the way through and I must say I love the bike levels. I never really cared about the secret characters (except Victy) so the changes to them don't interest me much, but goddamn the bike levels are so cool. I can't believe they removed them from the final release.

Play the SOR remake if you wanna play the bike levels so bad. The hack doesnt have anything really worth it that the remake doesnt have so why bother with it

The remake is cool, but it's not for real hardware. I don't really like playing things on the PC that much.

I play it on my Xbox, looks great on my 4x3 CRT tv and acceptable on my 42" plasma.

Victy, Shiva and Ash appear on a revamped character select screen (Hold Up+B on title screen when pressing start to access these secret chars); Ash now has a portrait of his own.
This only works on v1.4 only..it dosn't work on v1.5.1

Did anybody make a printable cover and manual artwork for this special version of Bare Knuckle 3 ?

I don't know about other people, but I never bothered because of how incomplete and glitchy the hack is, I don't really see a point in making anything for it other than a cart label.

I know this is a slight thread hi-jack, but is SOR3 actually 'one of the rarest Genesis games' around?

And yeah, there isn't much point in artwork for this, just grab the translated BK3 rom.
