    Thumbs down The Youtube game community got flooded with shit "collection" videos

    I used to like when I could go on Youtube and check for recent "collection" videos where people would show off a diverse library and give intelligent impressions and opinions about games. That is no more. Now you have to sift through 30 or so a day "collection" videos by 10-year-old 'tards in front of a webcam who think their CODs and Maddens are a collection of games worth flashing in front of the screen. I don't even bother looking anymore.

    I used to be active in the youtube community and I still post a retro-game impressions video here and there though it's not as fun for me as it used to be. I took down my collection videos because I got sick of the trolls. One too many "Why don't you just download roms lol!" comments. The videos were made to share my opinions with other collectors so I don't even know what people like that bother watching them for.

    I'm tired of "Forget about this shit, you can play the arcade original in the ____________ Collection for the PS2!".

    Also, as the OP said, many people just turn on a crap camera and start making dumb videos... Dozens and dozens a day.
    And the good ones are now lost somewhere under a ton of stupid videos.

    Yeah what the hell is up with that fad?

    So you bought a video game, good for you? It reminds me of people who post stuff like "had Frosted Flakes for breakfast" on Twitter.

    I never understood the appeal of these unboxing videos either.
    I do like to see other people's retro collections though.

    If a person has a killer collection, I'd like to see it. If a person is going to unbox a sweet limited or rare item, that's cool too. But I don't even bother with unboxing videos of daily purchases or collection overviews from 'normal' collectors. Why would I want to see that shit? I have it already.

    Back to the topic;
    At least the collection videos on youtube aint as bad as some of the collection pics on DeviantArt ,
    where someone takes a pic of their "Awesome gameboy collection" consisting of a "ORIGINAL GAMEBOY" (GBC) , Pokemon gold and Tetris.

    Those are often just hipsters who jumped onto the "It's cool and edgy to own retro videogames" bandwagon.

    Lol, that's some of the best satire I've seen in awhile. "Look, here's an extra long twisty-tie"

    You deserve a rep my good man for sharing that!

    Rep'd Robtwo for the rofl-tastic video.

    My selling thread, a loose Suikoden II, lots of PS1 stuff, a sealed Primal Rage 32X, a CIB SMS system and more!

    I can't stand the "Lets Play Videos". I always run into one of those when searching for gameplay clips. Firstly I have to listen to some retarded banter or commentary and secondly it is usually recorded off an emulator.
