A few days ago, I started posting my Sega CD scans I'm working on.

ThugsRook, looking over the scans at SegaFans, some are a bit rough (like their version of Wonderdog, which I uploaded to ratigators.com here this morning). So, I'll keep sharing my SegaCD scans as an alternate source. Plus, I went ahead and scanned in the "red" version of Wonderdog, as they had the "green" version.

I may come back around after the fact and fill in a few alt manuals, such as the "green" Wonderdog, the matte (not foil) Lunar, and the small Ecco, Sonic, and Sewer Shark manuals (from when they became pack in games), and the blue box version of Night Trap (this is the version that SegaFans has). My default scan for Rise of the Dragon will be the blue longbox version. I have the original cardboard box release, though, it's still sealed. If I pick up an alt copy, I'll scan that in as well.

yea, they are fine for reading/ROM collecting, but i wouldnt call whats typically available to be in "high print quality".

EmuParidise & GamesDatabase also have manuals.

3746 more scans later, my Sega Dreamcast Instruction Manual Scan project is complete (6994 scans total adding in Sega Saturn). In a little over a week, I'll be wrapping up Sega CD as well. Speaking of Sega CD, it seems that the SegaFans site has been suspended. Not sure what's going on there, though, all of my scans are still up

Today mostly wraps up my Sega CD scan project with an additional 1952 scans (8946 total when you add in Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast). I say "mostly" because I skipped 2 titles. I have a backup copy of Kris Kross: Make My Video on its way (the last game I had where my only copy was still sealed), so that will get scanned in as soon as it arrives, and I'll scan in ESPN NBA Hangtime '95 as soon as I pick one up.

Also, tomorrow I'm starting my Sega CD 32X scan project, though, this one will go quick, since there were only 5 games.

When those wrap up in a couple of days, that should take care of anyone looking for any manual for any US Sega console game on an optical disc format.

After that, I'll be taking a break from scanning for a few months, but then I'll be back (hint, scroll to the bottom

As I mentioned, Sega CD 32X was going to go quick, today wraps up the entire collection, adding 57 new scans. Also, Kris Kross Make My Video came in the mail, so that has been scanned in and linked up in the Sega CD section (8 new scans).

Also, here's a preview of one of the things I'm working on next (after I return from a break in scanning for a while):

Sega Master System Game Catalog 1986 (USA)

Today I started posting Sega Master System manuals (as well as scans of the case inserts for the cover art). I'm still a few games short of a full set, though, will go back and fill in games that I skip over in my daily schedule.

Also, seems I forgot to post here when I started scanning in Sega 32X cart manuals. Those are all already done, at least the ones I have (I'm currently missing 3 games that are on my eventual buy list).

Today wraps up my scheduled Sega Master System insert/manual scans. There are still 6 games, 3 manuals and 2 replacement inserts that I still need to eventually pick up, and I'll post here in this thread when I make any updates.

I have 3 more games on the way that I'll get scanned and uploaded once they arrive.

For those wanting some stats, so far I'm at 1,182 Sega Master Scans, so if you take away the insert scans and do the math, that's another 2,148 pages of manuals scanned.

As for MediaFire stats, they tell me I'm now hosting 11,348 Sega scans. If you take away the zip files and once again do the math, that means I've scanned about 10,564 times, resulting in approximately 21,128 pages of manuals scanned.

I did post in a few places (TCP, CAG, DigitPress, SegaAge, etc) about trying to do a more collaborative effort on Genesis and Game Gear, with manuals either being donated or with me covering cost of shipping and return shipping (to ensure a level of consistency with all scans), and I received no response.

So, other than scanning in any missing items I pick up or deciding to do back inserts across the board for Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast, this closes the book on my system level scan projects.

Alex Kidd: High-Tech World, Ghouls 'N Ghosts and Michael Jackson's Moonwalker have all been scanned in (adding 35 scans) and linked.

Always wanted to say thank you for that ratigators site, it's really, really awesome.

Now if we could only get the same done for PAL and JPN games too.

TSOLfan, what do you have already on the Genesis front, and what do you need? I'm sure some of us would be happy to donate sports game manuals (and inserts if desired), at least.

Maxim, an admin over at SMS Power (smspower.org), is taking all of my scans and OCR'ing them to have plain text versions. Thus far, he noticed two games where when I was flipping pages to scan, I flipped too many. I've scanned in the missing pages and re-uploaded the individual scans and zips. This affected Zillion and Zillion II: The Tri Formation. Odd that it was two games in a row.

If anyone else notices any errors, please let me know, and I'll correct them.

    Thanks for the appreciation.

I only collect NTSC-U games, with just a few non US games. I have some NTSC-J only Sega Saturn games and Sega Dreamcast games. The only non NTSC-U game I have for the Sega Master System is this one:

    Mortal Kombat (EUR):

I didn't scan in that manual since it just didn't scan well (it was like a book with 8 chapters, one for each language). The only reason I even have that is, well, you could say I'm a fan:

Though, in all seriousness, I assume there is someone out there with a large collection of PAL and or JPN games. Hopefully, if nothing else, I've proven that it can be done (scanning in a full set of manuals by one person). Though, as with Mortal Kombat for Sega Master System, I'm sure PAL would be the most difficult given the size of some of the manuals (Mortal Kombat is so large that the spine is glued like a small paperback, as opposed to stapled, so it would be difficult to get a good scan).

Unfortunately, not much of anything. My Sega Genesis collection was damaged in storage. It wasn't a full set by any stretch, just primarily the Sega published titles (Alex Kidds, Sonics, Shining Forces, Xmens, Golden Axes, Streets of Rages, etc) and a few 3rd party (Castlevania Bloodlines and Warsong come to mind). I may eventually get around to picking those back up, but since the carts still work, it hasn't been a huge priority.

I can understand how some collectors might be hesitant (I know I would be given the money, and let alone money, the time to build a collection), but if someone has a large Genesis collection, and neither the equipment or time to scan everything, I'd again be happy to pay shipping and insurance both ways. I'd focus on manuals only, unlike what I did for Master System (where I included inserts), only because for Genesis, you have multiple box styles and not all have inserts. That's one of the reasons I haven't done back inserts for Sega CD, because games like Lethal Enforcers (with just a huge cardboard box that totally won't fit on my scanner) or Sol Feace with no back insert, I wouldn't be able to do justice and it would drive my nuts

Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast, I've done a few by request, and eventually plan to do them all across the board:
