I always thought it was funny how they reshot the entire opening sequence just to get rid of the Genesis control pad.
Errr.. it's the other way around. I'm 99% sure of it. They had to reshor the entire opening sequence just to add the Genesis controller.

But the Sega version was out looooong before any other version, they didn't keep the controller version for the 32X, and everyone looks older and has a "damn it we have to shoot this again" look on the scenes without the controller. Much more energetic on the original Sega CD version.
Night Trap was created and completed in 85-86, to be released for the NEMO (game system) by Mattel.. I believe that the footage shown here, is the original stock footage for Night Trap.... It's the same story for Sewer Shark.![]()
It was Hasbro, not Mattel. That and the 3DO version came out I think at, or around the same time. So who knows?
I remember in the late 90's, when for some reason there was a demand for the 3DO version of Night Trap, and no one had a copy for some reason... or if they did it was in bad shape.

Right, by Hasbro! There is a secret ending in this game that can be accessed by button code... This game also had a different name back in the 80's!
The 3DO version came out loooong after the Sega CD version came out... especially since the 3DO itself came out waaaaay after the Sega CD. I bought the 3DO version and quickly returned. I can't believe I actually spent money on a 3DO system. Definitely one of the stupidest things I have ever done.
The NEMO system was never released.
Night Trap was originally titled Scene of the Crime if you have the original release of Night Trap on sega cd there is a video of the Hasbro executives playing the proto type of Scene of the Crime on the NEMO video game system
when entering the cheat Up, A, A, A, A, A at the very end of the credits, when the words "In Memory of Stephen D. Hassenfeld" appear on the screen.
The NEMO was an unreleased video game console developed by Hasbro, notable for using VHS tapes rather than cartridges
NO footage is from the 32XCD and PC versionOriginally Posted by Lan-Di

The NEMO was a VHS based system right? How could a game like Night Trap work on a VHS tape? Night Trap had multiple things going on at the same time.
You need 6 VCRs, one for each room.Originally Posted by Symos

actually, i think it worked by having 6 videos on screen at once, you know, all "tiled"..
